The obituary has more Power Ranger lore than I expected.
But yes, the Green and White Rangers were very cool. Its a shame that CM Punk never took him up on his offer of an mma fight, that would’ve been a real spectacle for boys of a certain age.

Thought you meant Nick Castle at first, as he played Myers too. I was thinking "how the hell was he 85? Wasn't he a school mate of Carpenter's?"

Just heard about that. Really sad news. He seemed like a sound bloke and could definitely play a guitar.

Wilko had a very unique technique that I have been completely unable to master. No plectrum and just this remorseless percussive snap attack, with metronomic timing too, a true original. And that robotic stalking in and out of the stage move is legendary.
His last two albums, with Roger Daltrey in 2014 and solo in 2018, are brilliant punky R&B.
Also scary as **** in GoT. Mega talented.

Sad news to hear. Love the early Dr Feelgood stuff, such an amazing sound and Wilco was key. Then you see video and it's even better watching him strut as he plays.
Saw him give a talk at a book festival a few years back and he was very endearing, telling great stories and had the audience captivated from the start with a standing ovation at the end.
The documentary about him coming to terms with his (thought to be) terminal cancer is absolutely brilliant.

In tribute we should all try a scary stare at a set time.

Gutted to read here about Wilco. Many years ago I moved down to the midlands. There was a cracking chippy, the only one in town. The sort of chip shop you’d pass others and join the queue. It closed down, but years later I worked with the owner. After berating him for giving it up, apparently only northerners liked it. We got talking about music after he saw me wearing a Dr. Feel good t-shirt. I explained it was the Motley Crue tour shirt. He said about the actual band with such passion. They were playing near us, so I took him up on his offer of a lift and bunking on his couch. They were fucking great. Saw them a few times after. Always great.

As a Fleetwood Mac fanatic (all era's) so sad to hear of Christine McVie passing. She was such a part of their success from 1970 onward. At least she did rejoin after a long retirement. I think I will listen to Heroes are hard to find and Future Games tonight.

Aww that's genuinely sad. Was listening to little lies and everywhere at work today.
Rip Christine.

For anyone interested enough, listen to Christine's work from Future Games onward. She was brilliant with Bob Welch especially. You might also want to check out Chicken Shack, great British Blues band and sound

Im not a fleetwood mac fan by any means but 'Fleetwood Mac's Songbird' is genuinely one of my favourite music docs. The FM story from pretty much just McVie's POV is absolutely fascinating and you can immediately see why they chose to focus on her.
