Parliamentary business will be suspended immediately for at least six parliamentary days, in order to allow authorities to prepare for the funeral.[10] The parliament will then prepare a motion of condolence within 72 hours of reconvening.[9] All Air Space around the British Isles will be closed for six days of mourning.

Apparently shops will close on the day of the funeral, so make sure to stock up beers the day before. When they gave everyone the day off for the Royal Wedding people just went shopping. Which annoyed the piss out of me. Not because of any Royalist feelings, but simply because no-one wanted to spend quality time with their family and just went and sat in McDonalds eating miserable chips or got angry in Ikea. Or whatever. |
