Yeah, it's such a weird atagonistic environment. You can tell creators are constantly battling with YouTube (and seemingly hate it). It seems time to just go somewhere else. Aren't there any other video hosting websites? It's faintly ridiculous at this point

There used to be loads of Youtube competitors, but it basically saw them all off years ago. (mainly by being much softer on copyrighted material back in the day).

I imagine that for younger generations its main competitor is TikTok. Though youtube seems to be pushing its vertical 'shorts' quite hard at the moment.

To be a true youtube competitor, you have to be free though. Shame dailymotion and vimeo never truly took off.

Cunts who purposely block the second lane when two lanes merge into one can do one. There is a reason there are two lanes, to allow people to merge in right up until the lane becomes one.

Really pisses me off when people get annoyed and try to block you off. Some arse today tried to cut me up (no indication or intent to drive in the lane) so I went around him and he had the nerve to beep at me. Didn't matter there were another five or so cars directly behind me.

Walking down the street today, and a family of broad stature are walking ahead of me, side by side, as slowly as possible.

They also have a dog on a lead, ensuring no part of the footpath can be used for overtaking. I couldn't even go onto the road as I had a pram.

By the time I saw an opening, there was about 6 of us trying in vain to make our way past. Absolutely clueless, as if they were the only people in the entire world, and the footpath was laid just for them.

It’s massively tone deaf in the current financial climate too. Our school is mandating LOGO’D P.E. SHORTS and also makes the girls wear either plain trousers or a skirt with a logo. Nowhere do I see pleated skirts in any other setting with a logo. It’s all money making backhanders with the agreed providers and it stinks. Anybody could get a skirt of the same quality at an affordable rate.

I’ve always considered that a compromise would be that you can source the stuff yourself (making sure it’s compliant) and then they could sell patches to sew on. But there’s less money in that for them.

They also don’t let the kids take their blazers off when it’s hot in class - which is double bollocks because in no work environment I’ve ever been in is it considered a faux par to take off your jacket. And ultimately they are being trained to be drones like us.

Funnily enough somebody formerly high up in the DFE has been very critical of the summer blazer issue and encouraged parents to take the schools to court over child abuse. However, who has the funds or time for it?

We’re always slightly conscious of standing up to the adult bullies at school - you never know if there will be repercussions for the child.
