Oooohh, down to £23 for the PC version on CDKeys. Hrnnnngggg. MUST. RESIST.

Also seeing this with some big reductions on PS5.. £38-39 now at various places including Tesco. Might need to try it out.

The AI is pretty shite but it hasn't stopped me enjoying it for the most part. When you realise that you can year through an area at top speed murdering everyone without firing a shot it's pretty satisfying.

Certainly not a 10/10 game but well worth a play.

Faaaark but this is very systems dense at the start. I've enjoyed the first Lead, and gotten to the point where I can start to exercise some agency, but there are still so many floating above my head whilst I try to figure out how it all works.

Best opening to an Arkane game yet though, I think. Also the gunplay is fantastic, and it runs like a dream.

It's odd, I don't have this huge compulsion to play it so I leave it a couple of days before going back but when I do I'm invested into it. I thought I wouldn't like it to be as guided as it is, but actually do appreciate it in the end, while also having enough secrets and mysteries to try and solve too.

Picked this up as it was on sale on Steam. Having fun with it this evening.

So you can't retain powers in between loops? I managed to kill Julianna, but then got to the end of the loop and the power has gone.

As long as you do the right quest.

Think you have to remember to pick it up for the first few times as well. Until you get the ability to infuse stuff.

Make sure you follow the story and arsenal leads, once I started doing that the game really clicked for me.

I spent a lot of time skulking around and exploring, in the main - it's progress of a sort as I've built pretty good mental maps of the areas. It's a helluva world just to be in. I'm in no particular rush to reach the end. The seven hours figure is what Steam tells me - there's a good chance that it has been idling in the menu while I make dinner a time or two.

The bad session I had in the week was one where I batted heads with a particularly onerous group of bad guys. Handed me my arse over and over. Likely just not levelled enough or something (not that there's an easy way to tell, except I guess for getting reamed).

In truth the various systems have only just started coming into focus for me, especially since I got that first slab. Had a few nice drops now as well, including a nail gun that does extra damage against tagged enemies and has three trinket slots. Not that I have many trinkets yet.
