Just over the top highpitch praise for him after he's done his biz. Even encourage while he's doing it.
Basically don't take your eyes off him outside so you can praise him in time for the deed and he knows why.
One day or will just click and you'll get the odd accident here and there where you figure out how long he can hold it.

Also, more seriously, which pet insurance do the brits here use? Petplan and had to claim a few times. Vet usually claims directly but never had any issues.

Also, more seriously, which pet insurance do the brits here use? John Lewis. Probably not the cheapest but they pay up quickly and don't quibble. Saved us thousands over the years, including two knee rebuilds and the recent near death experience.

I was kind of joking, he's only a week settling in and he's about 90% perfect already. Wees on command. Just the odd accident here or there which make you wonder "why then?"

Ah fair enough. I guess you can't take him for walks yet?
That helps the random house piss a lot.

Major's insurance is with Bought By Many. They've been good so far. Paid out when necessary, (some) money back in the year when no claim.

Insurance Emporium or some such. Never had to use it yet for the cats. Unless it's something big, it's such a racket imo.

We're with animal friends. Have claimed for both cats at one point and they've been painless to deal with.
Although they did try to pull some "you won't be able to claim for this condition again:- stomach" nonsense with one of them. Erm, pretty sure that's not a condition...

Djrectline for both dogs. Really good cover and a decent price. The monthly price and excess are pretty tempting. Trying to choose between directline, agria and petplan. Agria gets a good price with high cover but the excess would be £170.

Have claimed twice with direct line for one of the dogs and the vet asked who we were with. Told them and it was no problem they dealt direct(heh) and we just paid the small excess when everything had finished.

It's our dog's first birthday tomorrow. Apparently I'm a miserable cunt because the idea of making a doggie birthday cake is fucking ridiculous.
I did get him some extra training treats from the pet shop though...

Snap, one of mine is having a birthday as well. We've got him some sausage's for breakfast, dog beer, some new chew toys, cake and a birthday hat. Nice walk on on Salisbury plain and being a dope.
Stop being a miserable bastard and spoil the dog, you'll wish you did when it's gone.

Looks like I may be allergic to at least one of my cats. I've suffered asthma and disturbed sleep for some time and its worsened in the last few years. Stroked one of them in bad the other night, brought my hand to near my face and was sneezing with running nose. When I took my hand away it stopped. Checked again last night and same result.
Obviously my wife says she is sad that I'll have to sleep in the shed from now on...

And because Life likes taking the piss, I've just had to rescue the largest fluffiest cat (maine coon) in the world from off a roof in my garden.
I'm not sure it needed rescuing, more that it wanted some sucker to come up to it with some biscuits and present it with an easier way down. That the person doing the probably unneeded rescuing might be allergic to it probably made the cat chuckle, because cats are like that. It got water and biscuits out of me anyway and seems happy about that. Flippin thing isn't leaving my garden though...
No collar or anything, so no idea where its from. My own cats are "less than happy" about the interloper.

Hay-fever antihistamines should help with the allergy, and it sounds like your existing cats will band together and evict your new pet

Ha, reminds me of when another cat would invade through the cat flap. My parents house was pretty open plan so you could watch it walk through the house, the other cats taking notice and eyeballing it for a while until it all kicked off. I also woke up one night and found a massive cat sitting next to my bed staring at me

The new cat has finally remembered its a cat and has buggered off, taking a full stomach with it obviously. My own cats are outraged and refusing to have anything further to do with me...which will help the allergy.
I'll go and grab an anti-histamine. I'm also going to hoover and clean in my bedroom etc more. Anyway, it was a cute cat. Big bugger though.

Might be worth a go.

Is that your bird, Danno? It's beautiful! And he knows it! Yep. Mrs Nem has a green cheek conure and he’s the centre of everything and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Absolute joy and too smart for his own good. She also has a budgie and that one doesn’t care for people and sits and watches with mild disappointment at the human race.

This fella is a maximillian pionus and HOOO BOY does he live up to the obvious shorthand. He's ruined my speakers, I can't have pens anymore and he burned out my DAB radio by shitting through the vent directly onto the PCB

I wouldn't be as bitter about it if a) I'd been fucked warned and b) he didn't hate me so much until recently
