EG user engagement in general seems to be in the shitter. Just been taking a look at the number of comments they get on articles these days... the average is well down on where it was a couple of years ago. I've been on the discord for months now and it's hardly buzzing. Yeah, I honestly didn't even realise that I was still on their Discord until I just checked there. Would be interesting to see their engagement numbers in relation to the different types of content/articles they put up. I honestly can't remember the last time I read a review, for example, that lead to anything approaching a decent discussion below the line. And JFC the state of the nonsense that would get posted on most of their shorter articles, especially if it was in anyway connected to representation in games or diversity across the industry as a whole. And then there were Edwin's pieces ... That stuff about someone should make a game...it all felt a bit shit really. They hardly get any scoops, there's not a lot of interviews a fair bit of stuff was either copied from Reddit because let's go on about Warzone or just credited from other sites. Plus as people say they barely do any reviews and think they've been quoted as not being bothered by then and the user engagement from people like Wesley at times was full of contempt. Definitely gone downhill. |

So like, when do we start seeing the banner ads that are mentioned in the footer? Is there an ad free trial period for newly created forums? Can't wait to see what they're for... fingers crossed for kitchens, essay writing services and suchlike

I've been browsing other forums on the same platform and, from what I've seen, the ads are about as unobtrusive as you could hope for. Literally looks like a mobile banner placed in the middle of the desktop site, and only on the homepage I've also found some lovely themes - would like to humbly suggest this one for next April 1st EDIT- or maybe this one just for the name |
