Abstaining is such a cowards way out as well.
Anyway looking forward to this getting entirely dismantled.

Full list of those that actually rebelled shared by Ben Riley-Smith of the Telegraph. x.com/benrileysmith/status/1734671703576363140?s=2029 in total, with 8 of the total 37 Conservative abstentions being pairings with Labour (where a yes voter agrees to abstain to cancel out an abstention of a no voter, and vice versa). So, if all of the rebels had of voted against it would have failed by 16. Edit: wait, think that is a maths fail there. The 29 would just be added to the no group and no deduction to the yes vote. So, actually think he would still have won by 15.

If you want to be even more depressed by today's bullshit read Ian Dunt's latest piece on his Substack (you don't have to subscribe just hit continue reading), he's clearly off to have a fuckton more to drink after having to report on this shite through the day. iandunt.substack.com/p/rwanda-vote-the-death-of-one-nation

Dunt is such a fanny. The last vestiges of a soul were sucked out a loooooooong time ago. What we are seeing now is the death rattle of a government who have nothing to fight the next election on, so the amoral goons in the strategy department went all in on immigration.
Not one achievement among them so they went with a strategy so dreadful it would mollify the headbangers and be unsupportable by Labour giving them a ‘well, Labour are trying to stop us fixing immigration’ stick to hit them with.
The one nation lot had no soul left to fight for, fuck sake, what a load of shite.

He has said he was going to at some point. Lost his wife recently. The anti20mph gammons will claim a victory no doubt, and demand an default increase to 40mph.

Rather wish I'd tuned into the last PMQs of the year as Sunak was in fine form as a petulant twat who couldn't even just let things go when Starmer used his final question just to basically wish everyone, including the Tories, a nice Christmas.
I guess the donkey/three wise men gag got under his very thin skin.

I bet most of them are getting money off gambling and vaping (big tobacco), never mind the oil companies. They should really implement the suits covered in their sponsors logos idea, like for F1 cars.

It'd give the speakers something more to remember, "I now call the member for East Wankerton, Mr Rob Moneygrabber, brought to you in association with British American Tobacco."

All that for just a few grand, hardly seems worth it when you’re on an MPs salary plus expenses. Might as well pick up a few Uber shifts on the side

It did seem a bit "If universities impinge on free speech then they should expect big fines! But we can't actually tell what's ok or not ok because that's highly complicated and depends on lots of factors. But universities had better watch out because they'll be in big trouble!"

None of this is new, it's the same shit that happened after the great depression but it's lasting longer cause we saved the banks.
We absolutely should have saved the banks but this is a consequence we have stagnation instead a sharp purge (an even sharper one).
Politics is impacted by the Socio-economic environment.

All that for just a few grand, hardly seems worth it when you’re on an MPs salary plus expenses. The main point they always hammer home in our mandatory Anti-Corruption/Bribery training is 'A bribe needs to be more than the value of the rest of your career earnings for it to be worth taking'.

Might as well pick up a few Uber shifts on the side Most of the Tory 19ers are working class UKIP type racists who got in off the back Johnson, a few grand a month to them is a big deal. The difference between a Gullis, Benton, Anderson and the likes of Gove, Johnson, Hunt, Sunak etc. is quite something
