It’s mad, I’m entitled to a French passport by virtue of being married for 5 years despite never living or working there, and I will do if I ever pull my finger out to brush my French up enough. Until recently I assumed it was a similar thing here Is that a thing? I had no idea. Sweet. Only 4 years 9 months to go! |

I'd be looking to sort that sooner rather than later if I were you.
I spent a big chunk of my younger life in Ireland and would've qualified for citizenship through naturalisation, but moved back over here 15 years ago without bothering to sort out a second passport as it didn't seem worth it at the time.
That decision aged like milk.
