The Scottish health secretary's iPad story continues to crack me up; it's playing out exactly as everyone thought it would. Next steps in the playbook are: it wasn't just football, then the inevitable resignation.
I must admit, I rolled my eyes during the 'choking back tears' part of the video - maybe I'm just a cynical old bastard, but I don't buy that he was less than forthcoming because he wanted to protect his family. He was protecting his own interests.

I guess the Scottish government doesn't have EU roaming on their data plan.

I must admit I've taken my eye off them for quite some time but as we're all waiting for the inevitable heat death of our planet, it's a shame there's still really no room for The Green Party. They've won a lot of councillors recently directly off the Tories and in the countryside. Downside of that they've done it on a clean up rivers, plant more trees and no outsiders moving here and building new homes platform. Full NIMBY. Some people will find it a shock when their GE manifesto comes out saying build more homes and universal basic income.

Lib Dems should be well placed to make decent gains if there’s a public appetite for a party presenting itself as sensibly centrist in contrast to the division and nutters either side (but especially on the right)

Lib Dem’s are a non entity for most people. They’re to small to get enough attention to expand, they’re pretty quiet anyway and fucked it up when they got close to important.

Liberal/Lib Dem candidates had placed second in my very safe Tory constituency since the 70s until 2015 and then they fell below Labour (neck and neck) and now are way in the rear view mirror of Labour. Given current polling this previously safe Tory seat should have a very healthy Labour majority when we finally get a bloody election.

I'm in Hampshire, can't get much more southerly. On the subject of Hampshire seats that need to flip to Labour or LibDems it's the one this fascist holds.

They actually said “fit bae”.

I guess the Scottish government doesn't have EU roaming on their data plan. Morocco wouldn’t be covered by EU roaming anyway. I’m pretty amazed that data charges are that high for Morocco, I’m in the USA now and shat myself when I thought about how much the nonsense I post here might cost me

I quite like a bit of I'm a Celeb. It's good, relatively wholesome family viewing. But no way I'm watching that arsehole. I might tune back in if/when he goes, but there's definitely a line for me.

I know it was Boris Johnson who appointed her but its astonishing that someone with this amount of contempt for the Rule of Law was allowed to be Attorney General. Nevermind our first openly fascist Home Secretary. Since its only chance of passing is if enough Lords laugh themselves to death that no one is left to oppose it, Papa Cameron will be having a word with Lil Rishi and putting a stop to this. Thats why they brought him back right? To look like a grown up and stop the nutters who’ve been stealing Sunak’s lunch money at the Commons canteen up to now.

Is that how it works? As long as the givernment writes a note that says 'PS/ No laws apply to this and no international conventions apply to this and no-one can disagree with this' then that means the judges can't say it's illegal?
PS/ no forum rules apply to any of my posts and no-one is allowed to disagree with anything I write.

"The British people, by giving labour a 200 seat majority, were quite clear in their desire to remove Tories from these shores. Thanks to the laws passed by the previous Conservative government, no human rights laws are applicable to the decisions of the Home Office who retain sole power to decide on individual deportations."
"Consequently, it is the decision of the Home Office, and the clear will of the British people, that the Conservative party is outlawed and all previous members deported."

I see Simon Clarke is still an odious git. "People will turn to other forces [if we don't fix Rwanda]" He really is. Saw him at my local zoo with a woman and kid and it was all very subdued. Then somebody told me he's cheated on his wife with an assistant or something and had to move out. So I guess that was day out as a "family".
