The rhetoric even gotten to ones I know, saying the march shouldn't go ahead today because its taking away from Remembrance day and there'll be anti Western mobs defacing the Cenotaph and what have you. I said its probably fair to do a march calling for peace on Armistice day but they just seem convinced violence is gonna happen. And when I say its the Home Secretary that's fanning the flames they just kinda dismiss it. I walked past the march in London the other week and I would say these protests have a vocal minority that love their antisemitic chants which does tend to sour the peaceful atmosphere. |

When stats show that the vast majority of arrests are from the counter-protests, I'm sure Braverman will use that as proof that the police go soft on the people on the peace march.

Predictably the EDL crowd have shown themselves to be dimmest bulbs on the tree. Conversely there is always a danger that pro Palestine marches become pro Hamas but on the whole we seem to have avoided armageddon.

When stats show that the vast majority of arrests are from the counter-protests, I'm sure Braverman will use that as proof that the police go soft on the people on the peace march. Undoubtedly. And Palestine marchers will claim it shows there was no trouble with them. Reality is that violence has to be dealt with on the spot resulting in arrests at the time for the hooligan twats. Whereas the Hamas supporting twats can be identified and dealt with a bit later on as resources and safety dictate. |

I'm sure there are a few dozen in the 300000+ that are for sure pro Hamas but you are off your nut for thinking the whole thing would turn pro Hamas. It's a march for a cease fire, it's not a march to destroy Israel which is what Hamas want. You can find X posts showing some dick heads being anti Israel I'm sure but I've been to two of these and I've not seen anything like it and with what 6 or so arrests last week from a quarter of a million people it shows that there isn't that much hate in them. |
