The PM still has "full confidence" in Braverman, according to a Downing Street spokesperson. So she basically has carte blanche to say and do whatever she likes with no repercussions now, right? Sunak really is the epitome of spinelessness. Where did you read this?

"Full confidence" is a fairly meaningless phrase in these sorts of circumstances. His only option is say that or sack her. It seems fairly certain he's waiting to see what happens over the weekend and next week before taking action.
Because he's weak.

I'm now pretty sure Braverman watched Emma Thompson in Years and Years and thought that would be a great idea... I’d quite like to rewatch that but considering basically everything it predicted up to now had occurred I’m not sure I want to be reminded of the spoilers for whats coming up in the next five years.

I need to watch it. It’s constantly on my list, but I just never get around to it.

Fucksake, I try to defend using public transport as much as possible for eco reasons, but the state of train travel in the UK these days is abysmal. Currently on a 4 carriage train to Edinburgh that should have been 9 carriages, absolutely packed like sardines. Hope the next government moves it in the other direction because this one obviously doesn’t give a crap.

I've spoken to people from other countries who think our train service is amazing. They were mostly from the Americas or Africa.
Europeans and Asia seem to laugh at us.

Heh, shame we can’t just switch a few over from mine to yours. I’ve got a seat now because a woman’s kid was in it and she moved her kid next to her and basically commanded me to sit down. I still offered it to the rest of the carriage first but there were no takers. Maybe I look older and frailer than I thought.

There was a landslide north of Darlington, and a section was single line, but only delayed us 10 minutes.

So, who is surprised that with all this hate march talk there has been some violent scuffling near the cenotaph?
By Tommy Robinson's crew, of course, shouting "England till I die".

I’m more concerned about violence along the route of the ceasefire march- apparently the yobs have arranged to meet at pubs along the route and will have been drinking for a few hours by the time it gets to them.

If it does kick off it would be entirely the government's fault. The morons haven't turned up on the last 3 protests and are only, maybe, turning up today because of the shite the government have been saying to the media.
Great gov that stokes violence and they're desperate for it to kick off today, rubbing their dirty hands and the possibilities.

It's the least surprising outcome when Braverman has been whipping up all the far right drongos for the past couple of weeks.

The rhetoric even gotten to ones I know, saying the march shouldn't go ahead today because its taking away from Remembrance day and there'll be anti Western mobs defacing the Cenotaph and what have you. I said its probably fair to do a march calling for peace on Armistice day but they just seem convinced violence is gonna happen. And when I say its the Home Secretary that's fanning the flames they just kinda dismiss it.

I went to a protest after Boris dissolved Parliament to get his Brexit agenda through. Far right were there in full force but all but disappeared once the football started.
