I mean, its probably true or at the very least feasible. After the rats flee the ship, they will be left with the swivel eyed ultras who will take all the wrong lessons from their defeat. I imagine most of them would already put a blanket over Farage if they caught him fucking their wives just in case he got cold.

Yep, although he does need to be an MP first...

Imagine this is your mark on the earth:
Some nobody who's legacy is to lose one of the safest tory seats in country and have this crop up if you ever google his name. Hope that 15 minutes was worth it.

Yep, although he does need to be an MP first... That is the stumbling block and as much as they love him, he is also well hated. Im sure they could find some way to wangle him back into the party, if only to get Reform UK off their backs because they absolutely fucked them in Tamworth.

Reform getting their deposit back was mad, but as you say they are the hard line Tory alternative now - no middle ground anymore.

It's so stupid/ideological. The cost to the economy across all sectors must be more than just paying us properly.

But, in all seriousness, the girl has had at least two teachers off with stress this year, with her art teacher written off indefinitely. During her GCSE year.
If you want to stop the disruption, support the poor fuckers a bit better so they can actually do their jobs. Parents see through this. They know teachers arent the enemy and that they are doing jobs in extremely difficult circumstances. This is another performative measure for the elderly, braying peanut gallery.

My wife almost left the profession during the summer and is basically about ready to go again already. The hours, the lack of support, the additional demands on time outside the classroom, the constantly shifting goalposts, the kids and parents behaviour getting ever worse.

It would take an absolute turn around to get me back in a classroom in a school. They've absolutely fucked it over the years. Tbf, speaking to older staff, this goes back before Tories and into the Blair years

Yup, my wife binned it off to do supply. More money, less stress.

I did supply for 2 years. To say it is without stress is something. Most of the time it's crowd control. The better schools don't lose staff to sickness in the same numbers and when they do they have internal rotas to cover.
You see a lot of the same names pop up on supply requests, if you're in long enough. Towards the end of it I just outright said "don't give me X, Y and Z schools"

I said less stress! She's primary too so crowd control tends to be a bit easier.

Tbf, speaking to older staff, this goes back before Tories and into the Blair years I remember it being well before the Blair years. Don’t forget it was the shit tories before them. In reality it’s never been good for teachers, but there have been periods in the past when there’s been something resembling funding and a little less blame/pressure on them.

From a legal point of view, anyone can bring a private prosecution against anyone else to court. It costs a lot of money and the CPS still act as gatekeepers and can throw it out before a trial of the legal/evidential thresholds aren't me, but they do happen. These private companies have no powers of arrest, or other powers given to police/other authorities.
