That he got past security and had that much time on stage before they reacted seems a little too perfectly convenient to generate some headlines

I dunno, that Lee Nelson managed to get at May and wasn’t she the Prime Minister at the time?

Cool, so interrupt someone actually planning on some major devolution back to towns/regions, versus bothering the Tories.

Perfectly good speech, sounding like a grown up is a big improvement over Sunak's bollocks.

So why did they attack the opposition, rather than y’know the Government? Because the snowball has a very small chance of not melting with Labour. If they had turned up last week, they may as well have been demanding a holiday home on mars.

Absurd security breach, given only a few years ago MP's were murdered by nutters.
Good speech though aspirations and policies are two separate beasts. Individuals like Rayner need to be less prominent IMO.

Why? Rayner is great.
MPs are still generally very available people, even after the murders. See them on the tube all the time.

I've walked past Andy Burnham a few times, no security. He was just out and about.

There is an obsession with building houses. But they won't be building houses they'll be building apartments.
There are thousands upon thousands of apartments being built in London but they start at 400k and a lot aren't suitable for families or are just a money laundering scheme for foreign cash. A percentage have to be allocated as affordable or social housing but the get around for developers is setting a big chunk as rent to buy.

They do need to light a fire under builders arses when they conveniently forget to put affordable houses on their new build estates.
'Whoopsie' really isnt good enough and heads need to start rolling for it.

Just bring in rules preventing this bullshit land hoarding and not building stuff. Also we need fewer big family homes because the birth rate is through the fucking floor.
2-3 bed houses with a bit of space.

If I look at her comments just now about social workers or NHS staff she blames the Tory party for making them redundant when the real issue has been an inability to recruit new staff, that has been the key issue for decades. If they presented a policy that looked at making these roles actually attractive that would be something. Care workers are absurdly undervalued and underpaid.

Lots of landbanked places that could be affordable now… or the developer is waiting for the value to climb in a few years time and build some £300-400kers on it instead.

Shocking lack of security, the cunt could of had a weapon sneaked in.
Labour have been on form this week saying the right things.

I delivered a policy that meant developer's profit margin fell from 23 to 21%. I was not convinced by their argument that we shouldn't do it.
