Eat out to cremate out

There were also meetings with anti-vax/anti-lockdown nutters, leading to delays in lockdowns, which extended their length and killed folk.

In case you didn't already hate the Tory government enough, they are now taking legal action against the Covid inquiry which is investigating it, to be allowed to withhold evidence.
Presumably, we'll all pay for that action, too.
What an absolute waste of even more public funds, as if the billions they've pissed up the wall and given to their mates isn't enough.

I'm sure they're just trying not to clog up the inquiry with trivia, they're doing them a favour.

Someone recently said on here that we've left it too long to start breaking things. Accurate.

Might be misremembering, but wasn't it specifically Sunak spotted having meetings with people opposed to lockdowns? Yes, the "evidence-based" medicine people. Led to a delay on the second lockdown. "A Sunday Times investigation found that the new restrictions were being supported by Hancock, Gove, and Johnson’s chief adviser, Dominic Cummings. But Sunak was vehemently opposed, fearing mass redundancies.14 Sunak’s opposition led to four people being invited to address Johnson and him on 20 September, of whom three also opposed a lockdown: Sunetra Gupta and Carl Heneghan, professors at Oxford University, and Anders Tegnell, architect of Sweden’s controversial policy of avoiding lockdowns." www.bmj.com/content/379/bmj.o2715

I'm really hoping in a few years we get a believable detailed international analysis of what impacted Covid and Covid Death rates and what didn't. Based on the limited info we have now, it seems really random. Some countries had huge lockdowns and it worked, other did and it didn't. Some countries didn't have lockdowns and it worked, or it didn't. Masks, Climate, Weight, Age, etc..
So many factors to account for, not least different countries tracking cases/deaths in different ways.

Johnson is going to give the inquiry his WhatsApp messages...
The post April 2021 ones, anyway. Because he can't "safely access his old phone", conveniently!
I'm sure they will have all the really important, relevant information in them.

Whilst PM during the Covid crisis, Boris met with the people who run the country, as you would expect.
