Christ ... Truss as foreign secretary. Her approval ratings amongst Tory members are off the scale. It's bizarre.

Effectively the review of the human rights act is now in Raab's hands.
Goodbye rights, was nice knowing you.

Christ ... Truss as foreign secretary. Her approval ratings amongst Tory members are off the scale. It's bizarre. She's the Brexit Wonderwoman - literally described as that today in The Express. Just recently, in a single bound, she signed a deal (or at least outlined the deal, or just made something up) with Australia which may boost GDP by up to 0.02% in about a decade, and all it costs is dropping any mention of climate change, because that doesn't happen in Australia, and any protection for British food production, because they had us over a barrel, given the current desperation to make Brexit a success, or look like it, or look like something you could argue was it if you talked shit professionally.. Johnson will say how lucky we are to have such an impressive talented team, and thus get to sharpen up his lying, which he hasn't used since PMQs. Except to Carrie of course, but that doesn't count.

Christ ... Truss as foreign secretary. Well I mean he has to keep the faithful supporters under his watch, the faithful supporters who are so incompetent they continually take the heat off Johnson. It's a very canny move. Obviously it's terrible for the nation but we know that it doesn't matter now we have the crown insignia on pint glasses.

Raab gets to be Deputy PM because he had a cry at being booted over to Justice?

Raab gets to be Deputy PM because he had a cry at being booted over to Justice? Yes a fancy title but fairly meaningless in practical terms, unless it’s a coalition situation like when it was Clegg (ah those halcyon days when it was just the economy going to shit and not everything else).

This is how our government has always worked tbf, it's just a lot more galling given the relative competence of the people at the helm and a lot more visible because everything gets leaked, briefed and splashed on twitter.

She's a woke warrior, appointed to talk provocative bullshit and thus own the libs hard. Sunday morning policy punts will be her bag - the entire arts council to be run by Newscorp, that sort of thing. Laurence Fox with (slightly) fewer wispy pubes on her chin.

Good to see our new culture secretary voted against equal gay rights nine times, including twice against gay marriage, and asked if it meant she could marry her sister.
She certainly is a meaty orifice.

Her new role has led to a lovely bit of twitter reminiscence over her posting history, like when she called James o brown a public school posh boy fuck wit and failed to notice her daughter went to the same school as him
