I'll be honest though, I'm less irritated about Sarwar. It's Ross that is just utterly fucking pitiful. Completely out of his depth.

Do you think there are SNP voters that don't want independence?

Do you think there are SNP voters that don't want independence? Lol bit of a tangent. Do I think there are SNP voters that don't want independence? At this stage, I think that's probably very unlikely. However, there are definitely voters who will have leant their vote to the SNP at some stage over the last 14 years, as the only credible left-leaning, anti-austerity party following the collapse of Scottish Labour since Blair's and Brown's respective premierships, that do fall into the 'undecided' category. Typically, these voters will cite a desire to have a greater understanding of certain key issues, such as on the potential short/long term economic impact(s), on the subject of currency, or on the feasibility of rejoining the EU etc. In other words, the sort of sensible rigorous debate that should have been conducted (on different though similarly important questions) in the lead-up to the EU referendum. Of course, it seems like there is little time and space for such grown-up, in-depth conversation in our politics at the moment, with the culture wars and their associated disinformation machines in full swing. So, it might end up being emotion that seals it, one way or the other and for better or worse. Would be ironic if it was the Vote Leave Brexit playbook that ended up delivering the coup de grace to the Union itself.

Yeah just curious really. I don't think Boris could refuse a mandate if the public wanted it to happen and the SNP entertain a healthy majority.

Yeah, they wont be able to refuse indefinitely; however, knowing Johnson, I suspect his level of 'give a fuck' is pretty much set at not wanting to be the man cited in the history books as having caused the potential break up of the UK, so I expect every trick in the book will be used to kick it into the long grass for now.
Even more so if Johnson already has in mind when he'll be going, as his aim then will be to absolutely make it a problem for whomever replaces him.

Am I the only one to think the whole Gavin William thing about Rashford is intentional. One of those dog whistles that happens every so often to appeal to the absolute worst of the right wing lunatics that now vote tory.
Refuse to believe someone in power can be that ignorant and stupid, especially with the high profile spat Rashford had with the government.

It's possible, but then if it was intentional you are crediting him with a level of intelligence that I think is undeserved. Compared to if he's a moron that gets confused.

I don't think Williamson or anyone else would agree to look that stupid on purpose, even he has the feral, instinctive defence mechanisms of a typical Tory MP.
The tragic truth is that yes, the UK Education Secretary (at time of going to press) really is that stupid.

Williamson is only in the cabinet to distract attention from Jenrick, Dowden and Raaab also being totally incompetent.

I don't have the energy to digest that on a Friday night, but if they make the interminable training and compliance sessions of three years ago, which lasted for weeks, moot, I will go a hunting

Some rumours have started that Johnson will call it as early as 2022, to retain power before the inevitable covid enquiry.

Best we could hope for is a hung parliament, which Labour will scupper because they can't work together internally, let alone cross party.

I see Labour's internal issues caused by the corbyn cultists still, they give zero fucks until the "DEAR LEADER" returns from his allotments to lead the next student protest.
Labour need to start working with other parties or the UK is fucked

Honestly it feels like Labour don't actually exist atm and the Tories are the only political party that exist. Which is depressing.

I agree. I genuinely cannot recall a single Starmer policy and know the names of maybe 3 of the shadow cabinet. They can’t even nail the open goals like the covid contract corruption, incomprehensible lockdown rules and the NI increase/social care debacle. It's pathetic.

Do they have any actual policies beyond not being the tories and vague things like society should be fair etc.?

The longer he stays in charge, the lower his ratings will get.
I genuinely think that people are starting to see through his bullshit. I've noticed a couple of colleagues who voted for him because "he's Boris and he's funny, and there's no way I'm voting for Corbyn" slowly showing signs of realisation that it may not have been the best thing.
The danger is that the party has enough too, and replaces him once they see the polls consistently dropping below Labour. And I can't see him being replaced by anyone who isn't also a cunt.

The only issue is when Boris steps down as he can't be bothered, some other "sausage wallet" will take over and the same thickos that vote for Boris and make excuses for the next person eg "leave him (or her) alone, lets see what they can do before killing them FFS!!!!!!1111111 Some idiots still say "can't vote labour as that bloody corbyn......" in 2021 still It will be endless cycle of twats. Boris makes you want May or the pig fucker back as PM, its that bad

My mom still keeps going on about Corbyn everytime I mention what a shit show things are even though I keep telling I'm not a fan of Corbyn and he's not the leader of the party. So yeah I can totally buy the Anyone but Corbyn crew, it really has become an effective boogeyman.
