Also they've positioned it as any criticism of them is unpatriotic. You seen it with Covid, any criticisms of how they handled it early on where met with "I'm incredibly proud of how our NHS has handled this". And idiots just lap it up.

I remember when cash for questions was a big scandal, now it’s cash for informal meetings where you can influence and/or get information directly from ministers.
It’s no different to the American system with lobbying but neither should be allowed.

I'm now scared when my Mrs takes the dog for a walk at night. Not happy with her going out on her own so always go as well. Never used to feel like this. Dread to think what women feel like when out on their own at night.

Yeah, my missus has a ten minute walk home from work and is already planning which route to take now that the nights are drawing in, which to me was a pretty alien idea until we actually stopped and discussed it. I'm pretty disgusted at myself for just taking everything for granted all along when women have this sort of stuff constantly going through their heads.

There were two or three daylight attacks on the country paths near mine in quick succession back when Mrs Maybe was on maternity leave. She doesn’t really read the local news so I was pretty concerned when a colleague told me as those are the paths we’d take Baby Maybe on his nap walks.

Sturgeon gets acres of abuse when performing well.... Boris banging on about creating highly skilled, highly paid jobs - we don't need that, we have a surplus of low skilled jobs that need filling. Well not low skilled, but not jobs that UK people want to do... Today I heard a Tory on the radio saying they were focussing on job creation to offset the cut in UC. I thought we had too many jobs..... What do they have to do to lose the support of England? |
