If she promises the public she will save the people money on taxes (and further deepen the cuts to services like nhs and also deepen our debt) Idiots will vote for tories, if the tories get in they will be same or worse then they were. Also these idiots think short term, the tory scum did so much damage to the UK in services, spending tax payers money on dodgy contracts to their friends and donors.
I don't know if Labour will do a good job of fixing the shit stain mess that tories have left but I do know the tories will make things a lot worse
Also she said: "But to be heard, we have to be honest."

That's the exact opposite of reality, smelly bullshit makes it's way half way round the world before the truth has even got it's trainer socks on.

Nobody knows where we will be in 4.5 years time. Stuff maybe back under control, the press may have gotten use to a boring news cycle again instead of perma-crisis, there could be another crisis in Eastern Europe, another close La Penn/Trump election could panic everyone. Fuck knows.
Couple things though. The british public quite often give a party a second go to finish the job, if they haven't shat the bed anyhow. The Tories went with low taxes and culture war last time and got a historic defeat. Reform will remain there on the hard right nipping away at those voters. Then for all the people who were repelled by the Culture War shit last time, a lot of them voted for the Lib Dems. Who knows maybe the Lib Dems will end up the official opposition.
"We've fucking time travelled, yes? We're in a weird and wonderful world where everything is different! Maybe outside the polar ice caps have melted, maybe there's fucking robots knocking about and Davina McCall's the new pope. Maybe you can download rice!" - Malcolm Tucker.

Lib Dems need actual money to have any notion of getting near official opposition sadly.

I think given we’re so early in the electoral cycle, Badenoch the culture warrior is probably at the height of what influence she might have in that regard.
Its generally true that British voters are far less interested in culture wars than our politicians and media are. But we couldn’t be further from a general election.
Labour has already shown that it’ll bend on things like trans rights if pressured by the press. If Badenoch has a friendly press in her corner then I think we could see a version of the Farage Effect. The government getting themselves into a tangle of negative influences because they’re unduly worried about bad headlines and hectoring by nutters in the Question Time audience.
Badenoch could end up being electoral kryptonite *and* see a rival government put some of her ideas into practice (while pretending it was their idea)

James needs to sort himself out as well
Another cunt:
Tory tipped as Kemi Badenoch's Shadow Chancellor said minimum wage is a 'burden'
against minimum wage, against maternity pay, how long before one of them says we get too many holidays?
They really want all the shit aspects of American jobs without the pay

Children don’t need to be educated beyond 12. As long as they can count how many chimneys they’ve swept in a day(for taxation purposes), that is sufficient.

apollo - that's my cunt of an MP. He's such an absolute bootlicker, I'm not surprised to see him as a shadow cabinet hopeful.

Its that having a right wing culture warrior leading His Majesty’s Opposition legitimises (or at least gives license to) all the worst right wing culture war inclinations of the press. And Labour have shown that they will bend under pressure from the media. Yeah, they are going for the Reform playbook rather than, ironically, actually reforming. When you aren’t in power you can heckle any old crowd pleasing shit you like because you don’t have to stand by any of it. We now have four exciting years of transphobia and xenophobia being shouted in response to everything.

It's a bold prediction I'll admit but I don't think that Badenoch is going to be too appealing to the racists the hard right includes a lot of.
Probably a few days at most from the Conservatives being declared woke because of her election.

I continue to find it funny that the tories lost the election because they focused on identity politics and culture war instead of trying to defend themselves against accusations of ransacking the country and lining their pockets in the process.
Then elected the most culture war-y candidate possible and that cunt Cleverly is immediately claiming it's Labour doing the identity politics.
They really are collective proof that an expensive university education doesn't make you not an absolute weapons grade moron.

But being from a well off immigrant family and being employed for a while in McDonald's does make you working class.

It's such bollocks. My parents were definitely working class (plumber and cleaner), but I aware enough to know that my career means I can't quite make that claim myself.

Well would you look at that, after 3 years of no NHS dentists at my dentist, I get an email saying they now have an NHS dentist, and explicitly blame the lack of engagement from the previous government as a contributing factor into why they haven't been able to have one until now. I now have an NHS checkup on Thursday.

Still very little provision down here. I'm lucky to have an NHS dentist but barely a day goes by without someone on the local FB groups asking about how best to stop being in agonising pain without going private.

Looks like university fees are going to go up. The Tories held them at £9250 per undergrad year* for nearly a decade and now Labour get all the pain of having to face the fact that to keep pace with inflation it’d need to jump to something like £12-13,000 per undergrad year.
* for a UK Home student (English, Welsh or NI)

There’s an NHS dentist here but they only cover children with anything else being paid for. Apparently if you miss one appointment and are on the NHS list then you get taken off their list and aren’t allowed back on for at least two years.
Seems a little harsh for just the one missed appointment.

Fuck that. Clamp down on the appointment missing fuckers!
Bring back capital punishment for them, I say!

Not really got much to choose from though has she. Getting a scandal free shadow cabinet out of what's left was never going to be easy.
