Didn't 30p Lee do this for the first Reform seat? He had the whip withdrawn for islamaphobic comments, refused an offer to withdraw and apologise. Wafted round like a fart for a few days, then jumped to Reform iirc.

Isn't there a bit of an elephant in the room with the idea of someone like Suella Braverman joining reform

elephants have put out a press release and don't want to be associated with Suella Braverman (also she would try to deport them)

Well I guess they accepted Ben Habib who was mentioned on the last page, so maybe they're more inclusive than we give them credit...
... As long as you're a massive cunt.

Farage would love it. It would make the party look more legit to have a British-Asian woman as one of their main spokespeople, in a "well there you go, we can't be racist" sort of way.

FFS. As well as being a cunt, he's far better at this than I'll ever be. This is incredible. Hodgson v Cleverly needs be in a ring in Saudi, with Tyson-Usyk on the undercard.

The racists supporting Suella is a means to an end. She’s openly saying the most racist things more than any of the rest of them so they’ll support that.
If she was successful and deported all the foreigners they’d come for her next.

Well if the racists she eggs on ever take power, hopefully never, I'm sure she'll be happy as she's thrown out of the country.

Heh, I just read a theory that the Lib Dem’s went after anywhere middle class enough to have a Gail’s.
It certainly worked here.

His answer to questions about immigration and Reform being racist on Question Time really did boil down to “my dad was one of the good ones but its time to yank that ladder up now”

I've not seen the whole interview but that is usually the sort of softball question that's done right at the end to help wrap up and potentially be tossed if they need to cut for time.
But no, Beth Rigby is clearly the next Laura K as other dickheads are suggesting in the Twitter replies.

Mercer claiming "integrity" as a defence is about as amusing as The American on the first season of The Grand Tour. The man has all the integrity of an electricity company chief executive.

FFS. As well as being a cunt, he's far better at this than I'll ever be. I do actually like him better, yknow as far as Tories go which is the more overwhelming side. I hope he becomes the next leader and finds someone in the other parties to challenge to a twitch streamed game of 40K in the Houses of Parliament somewhere.

I have a cunning plan to fix the prison system. We can send prisoners to Rwanda.
I'm 10 years time we could rename it to Australia 2.

Australia would just send them to Rwanda, and then they'd claim asylum in the UK.
We could send them to Clacton...

"Does Reform UK stand for Christian values or for Diversity Equity and Inclusion?" asks Father Calvin Something or other.
Surely the message Christ preached was in favour of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. The Good Samaritan, Mary Magedelne, the Cheesemakers, and so on.

Reform appointed a Muslim chair?
Presumably doing a Galloway and trying to poach pro Palestinian (ex)Labour voters with permormatice measures, then? Farage did say he was coming for Labour.

This is an interesting and probably depressing payealled read: www.ft.com/content/03d480a8-ce31-4a4e-9727-18fb029f1c4a"A recent survey by FocalData found that 37 per cent of Britons would consider supporting a hypothetical party that believes immigration, LGBT+ rights and environmentalism have gone too far and that the country’s culture is under attack" All of Europe is in the 30-40% range, but we're top of the pops. Other countries all have far right parties that are way more effective at exploiting that voter base than occurs in the UK (unless you combine Reform and Tory, I think).

As always the people who support this kind of stuff can never define what they mean by "British culture" or "British values" without veering into comical racism.
I don't know why they're so scared of saying "we want to go back to the 70s where I could throw a brick through the window of the pakis house next door just to keep them on their toes and then we all go home watch Are You Being Served unironically and then beat my wife mercilessly for running out of Brown sauce, as that's what real men do."

being uncharacteristically optimistic for a moment i'd take such surveys with a pinch of salt. any survey you can easily swing the result of the same question by ~5 points just by subtle altering of the wording. when the question is on hypotheticals you can likely add another 5. add in translation effects (as the question is presumably not asked in english across the continent), and you'll struggle to draw much comparative data
edit: further - those hypothetical questions fall apart quite a lot when people are required to think about their response a bit more. variations on "of course I don't mean you" at best (or "one of the good ones" at worst) when asked how they envisage this affecting Gay Dave In Accounts etc.
