The best way not to increase NATO members closer to you is not to be a complete and utter cunt and threaten the same people because they think you're a cunt.
Putin turned two long time neutral countries into NATO members through his belligerent actions and other countries, like the Baltic nations, joined earlier on because they could see the way Russia was going.
You don't stop a bully by doing nothing, you get friends to back you up and Russia is literally the biggest fucking bully on the planet.
Fuck Putin bootlickers and apologists, Russia had a chance to turn things around after the fall of the Soviet Union and become an incredibly better place, they fucked it up.

Interesting: "He cites an article penned by the Russian leader ahead of the invasion of Ukraine, which only mentions Nato in one paragraph of the 7,000-word essay that instead focused on "ethnic nationalism". Wallace then contextualises his comments further by highlighting that only 6% of the Russian border has a Nato country on it and that it is a "defensive alliance" as it "doesn't go around invading people like president Putin”." I like this analogy by George Robertson ""Saying that we provoked Russia is like saying that if you buy a burglar alarm, in some way you provoke burglars.""

I've never been to Spalding, I'm in no hurry to after this, interesting stickers on view and a complete fucking loon as well. This is an amazing if massively depressing clip. That town seems like something out of a comedy show.

Royston Vasey twinned with Spalding.

They are predicted about 2 seats as it stands, Farage and Anderson. They will get a big chunk of the vote share but that really doesn't do anything. Hope you are right

There’s a lot of nice countryside around Spalding, and a lot of nice National trust places.
No idea about the people, but like most with these views, they’re probably ok as long as you don’t have to interact with them in any way.

I like this analogy by George Robertson ""Saying that we provoked Russia is like saying that if you buy a burglar alarm, in some way you provoke burglars."" Yeah, but the burglars gave a speech beforehand warning that if you installed a burglar alarm they'd rob you, so you provoked it!

Putin has got the far right blowing him (no doubt he pays them for the support) and then he has the tankie (ultra far left types) also sucking him off, but they seem to do it for free (maybe not Galloway as he seems corrupt)

I’d be honestly surprised if they even get those two. They’ll be second and third placed all over the country but FPTP will lock them out. Regardless of the undue prominence they’re being given by all of the broadcasters. I swear I’ve seen more Farage than I have Starmer since the election started.

Yep the fuckers face and voice are everywhere. Insane. I think I have seen him twice as much as anyone else over the last 2 or 3 weeks.

We had Labour canvassers out today round ours. I think its more than I can remember seeing out on the streets in a long long time. Probably since I lived in Newcastle and the Lib Dems threw everything at trying to unseat Nick Brown off the back of the Iraq War in 2005.
They didn’t manage it but it seemed a reasonable calculation given what a big student area is included in that constituency and that we were in peak charity wristband era engagement.

Farage seems to be following the Trump playbook of saying controversial stuff that gets everyone condemning him, which gets his face everywhere. And now I'm talking about him...

Clearly this is anecdotal but it shows that people putting campaign leaflets through doors can work, my Mum is 82 this year, hasn't really bothered with her postal vote for a while as "they're all the same" but my local Labour candidate's letter came through the door this morning. I'd already had told her I was voting for Labour and she decided she'd actually read it, unlike the incumbent Tory's letter that arrived yesterday and went straight in the recycling bin.
She read it, said that she sounded like a more normal person than they usually do, it was a pretty decent letter from someone who is not someone from a political background, she then filled in her postal vote.
I assume that means she's voting Labour, it'd be a terrible twist if it wasn't a Labour vote but I didn't ask!
At the end of all this there was no huge cheer from an imaginary crowd and lots of applause, which was kinda disappointing.

I'm curious if in private Farage would admit that his success is almost entirely down to the BBC over platforming him for decades, despite his frequent haranging of them.
Without the BBC he'd be nobody. He must know it.

I wonder how much anyone in tv would admit he’s essentially a media creation or if they try to pretend otherwise like when ever anyone asks Ian Hislop about HIGNFY popularising Boris Johnson

That would involve accepting the whole of the human race first. These dumb fucks wouldn't do that.

I mean, I really don't get this. I fucking hate Farage and pretty much everything he stands for. But Putin was basically threatening this stuff back in 2007 when he made his Munich speech. Farage saying this, shouldn't be controversial. He actually has a point. So if Farage makes a speech saying girls in short skirts have it coming; then 10 years later... Like what the fuck logic even is that? Ukraine isn't Russia's back yard, he can whine about it all he likes it will never be correct.
