'Woke economics' makes about as much sense as 'lefty lawyers'. Pointless buzzwords

Good lord, she’s still an actual fucking MP isn’t she, I honestly forgot 26,000 majority. So she’ll probably survive the general election, barring South West Norfolk pulling off an amazing feat of tactical voting

I mean usually an MP who has some influence as a cabinet member or ex one has some personal loyalty. Do national swing would usually be dampened. Truss is probably so personally hated that the swing against her will be worse than the national.

Her constituency must love and really appreciate that she's not there and doing everything she can to enrich herself. Any other job and she'd be out on her arse. It's truly mind-blowing when they demonise people on benefits as being lazy and stealing from the state.

Lee Anderson's "career" is bizarre : Labour councillor, defects to Conservatives in another town, elected in 2019 as an MP (while still being a councillor), Conservative Party chairman for nearly a year, gets a job with GB News, loses the whip when even his racism can't be excused so becomes independent - moves to Reform for five minutes before losing his seat at the general election looks like his next move.
He should have stayed down the fucking mines he started in.

'Woke economics' makes about as much sense as 'lefty lawyers'. Pointless buzzwords In etymological terms "Woke economics."; is a bit of a tautology. As the original of the word in a political context means, to be white person who is awake to the fact that disparities in economic outcomes between white and black people, are largely influenced by pre-existing disparities which have existed since the abolition of slavery. But of course woke has taken on the political mean on the right, of being a blanket term meaning anything the right opposed.

Can someone explain why, perhaps in words of one syllable, Braverman is still employed:
Braverman, meanwhile, had written an article in the Daily Telegraph on Friday which claimed: “Islamists, the extremists and the antisemites are in charge now.”

I've got this one, it's the same reason she got the position she lost due to breaking the parliamentary code back almost immediately.

How dare Danno question the party of power. You get a vote every five years and that’s your lot!

SNP continuing to push for a Gaza debate. Amazed there's any MPs that want to touch it with a barge pole, now.

"The enemy of the enemy is my friend" Gets really problematic when you have traditionally been a socialist raised on a dogmatic diet of hating 'western imperialism'. You can end up in a weird space where you are a left leaning socialist but have cornered yourself geopolitically to supporting China, Russia, North Korea, Hungary and Iran. Borderline or full on fascist dictatorships with pretty awful records for domestic human rights. Cant quite get my head around it. I don't think he is a real left leaning socialist but the issue those people that call themself that (and are the loudest) are these people that have comfy life in western countries and keyboard warriors for the countries you mentioned (aka reddit tankie types). its really fucked up how these cunts wanted Ukraine to surrender and not fight back as "nAtO bAd" eg comrade corbyn or China's genocide of Uyghurs (odd we don't see protests about this in the UK and no its not whatsaboutism)
Galloway is just trump but can form a sentence

The Tories seem to be handling the Islamophobia issue in the same way Labour handled the Antisemitism issue.

Sayeeda Warsi’s book on Islamophobia in the party is an interesting read. Although after agreeing a lot of the issues and root causes she touches on during the book I felt it was a bit of a jolt that her proposed solution was essentially “more conservatism”.

Same with Rory, it does slightly irk me that she is getting a pass for being a fucking arsehole just because she is slightly more moderate than the lunatics currently running the asylum. I heard her on LBC and one of her biggest complaints seemed to be 'If we are being islamophic that means we can't cane Labour for being antisemitic'.

The cowardice is quite spectacular from the MPs on the rounds.
'I don't think Lee is racist or xenophobic. If he apologises, he would have the whip restored'
'If its not racist or xenophobic, what he apologising for, then?'
'Uh....'
