Not available anymore here. That went fast. Probably faster than Stadia has ever sold. Where's "here"? It's still available in the UK. I just got one, and I'm in Ireland.

Ah right, sorry.
I just bought one in the UK. £19.99. I blame you, as I stated panicking thinking I'd missed a bargain. Then my bank payment wouldn't work and then I thought I'd bought four of the buggers because of it. I'm the end I used PayPal.
I tested my internet playing control briefly to check it was okay (I'm about 60mbs).

That's my birthday present sorted anyway, so thanks erm...load$ I think.
If nothing else, a controller and a 4k Chromecast is pretty good for that price.
Just checked HDuk and it's going to be out of stock here soon enough as it's at 3300 heat.

Quick question - does the Chromecast have apps like a Firestick etc or is it more of a receiver for whatever you throw at it from another device like a phone? My Firestick is pretty chuggy now at times and I'm wondering if it would make a decent replacement, especially at that price with the pad too, but I can't be arsed casting from my phone all the time.

The fire sticks are all about half price currently, fwiw. Tempted by the basic one for my spare TV, only £15. I assume Chromecast is still casting from your phone, which yeah, I also can't be arsed with.

The ultra works via Google home on your phone (or your Google device if you've got the Alexa alternative). It's got an Ethernet port and it's 4k, but otherwise pretty similar to the old system.

I picked up the Chromecast too. Needed a new casting thingy as the firesticks are basically dead, so will come in handy at some point.

A Firestick sounds interesting, but does it have any use over, say, using the Prime Video app on a console? Other than the fact that you get a proper remote.

Silent and low power use would be the plus points for me.
On the downside, mine sometimes experiences random restarts or the wi-fi ceasing completely until rebooted.

Deathloop for £30 is pretty good I guess? It's a whole 99p cheaper in Tesco...
In a way I'm glad it's not even cheaper on PSN or I'd be taking my bought yesterday and still sealed copy back!

I had the same thought, though I can always trade Deathloop on disc if it doesn't suit. The R&C deal on PSN though.. pffft. £25 at Tesco, thank you very much. Fancied checking the eye candy but not at the normal price... this is much more palatable for a genre I'm not usually into.

PSN 12 months is £33 in the PSN Black Friday sale.
Psychonauts 2 is £35. Not sure whether to buy that or Sackboy in the sale.

Might pop into my local tonight and check it out. Think these discounts need a clubcard possibly too.

Good luck finding much of what Tesco has reduced still in stock by now, there were no Sackboys to be had in two Tescos I visited on Thursday morning.

Got to admit I was surprised that morning when I managed to get the games I wanted at Tesco.
I can confirm Sackboy has got a free upgrade to the PS5 version. Disc in, two game tiles appear and it says copy for the PS4 version or download the PS5 version free from the PSN. The disc basically acts as a validation key to enable me to play it.

Lol no @ the above
I noticed just now Inside is £1.79 in the Switch cyber sale. Great game - which you will play through once, and once only - but still good value at that price.

On the downside, mine sometimes experiences random restarts or the wi-fi ceasing completely until rebooted. Glad it's not just me. I'm tempted by an upgrade, but before that I'd need to do loads of research to see if it's possible to sideload apps or change DNS/VPN settings on the newer model. Which sounds a lot like hard work...

Get a 4k firestick, they are a massive improvement over the older ones.

Don't have a 4k tv. But the key thing for me is how locked down it is/isn't.
