Is rat tracing an early mini boss game?

Just bought Resident Evil, is it worth having rat tracing on? Does it still run ok? Turn it on. It‘s subtle, but it‘s there, and you only sacrifice a bit of resolution, not frame rate. Great game, this.

Yeah I'm enjoying it. Not scary and the combat is pretty awful bit it's weird enough to be very entertaining.
Looks like Guardians of the Galaxy is surprisingly not shit too.

What's the virtual surround sound in the audio settings? It's defaulted to off so are you supposed to just let the PS5 3D audio do the work?

If you don't think its scary you haven't got to the shit your pants bit yet. Agree on the combat though, it's poo and enemies take far too many headshots. I left virtual surround off and let the pulse headset do the 3d audio.

Yeah it's not a particularly scary game apart from one section. It certainly is weird though. Tonally it's all over the place.
Loved it though.

Looks like Guardians of the Galaxy is surprisingly not shit too. The EG review makes me interested but perhaps not at full price. My son wants it for Christmas, but it sounds like he'd blitz through it quickly if he mastered the controls.

Here's the ACG review too, if you have 21 minutes to burn. youtu.be/zzZjDl9K0WII think I'll get it. I'm an absolute sucker for space operas, tbh.

Just watching the SkillUp review on YT. He strongly recommends it. It looks stunning.

Here's something. You can now actually buy games separately that you redeemed on PS+. Only took them however many years, but it's finally possible. Before, if you had a title from PS+, you couldn't actually buy it without contacting support to unlink it from your account.
They also added a tab on the PS Store highlights newly released titles. Currently the 3rd title I see there is a 39p game called "Lady in a Leotard With a Gun"

On the subject of stunning games I'm playing through House of Ashes right now and in places it looks legitimately photorealistic, the lighting effects are absolutely amazing. Not sure if it's raytracing or just good design, but in Quality mode it's superb.

Sounds like Tarantino's favourite game.
"Lady in a Leotard With a Gun," that is.

What graphics mode did people go with for Deathloop.
Just about to start and from the descriptions visual quality sounds best.

Characters are really uneven, too, esp. the soldier with the glasses looks unreal, everyone else next to him seems taken out of Uncharted 1. Pretty good game, too. Some very weird controls, though. I still don’t get why everyone uses the same pad when playing movie night and they can’t each have their own pad and be logged in as themselves.

Yeah performance all the way for Deathloop. It plays like sticky piss on the other modes.

Said fuck it and bought Guardians. I guess I'm too late for the pre-order bonus outfits, oh well. The full game is only 30.130GB though, which is nice. Especially seeing how large the pre-loads for Forza Horizon 5 are in the Xbox forum.
Nevermind, the pre-order bonuses were under Manage Game Content. It usually gives me the option of installing the add-ons at the same time as the full game, but it didn't this time. All is well though.

The bonuses and deluxe stuff are all just early unlocks anyway, you get them in the game still, just not right away.

Wow. Why even offer a more expensive Deluxe Edition then?

Soundtrack and Making Of junk, which are next to useless on PS5 given you can’t get mp3s or digital copies of anything off the console.

After a year of waiting and countless attempts I finally got myself a PS5.
I was actually one of the few people who got it on launch but then sold it for RRP to my brother since I lacked a 4k TV. Realized with each day what a mistake that was while playing PS4 games on a base model knowing the framerate etc could all be better.
Now thats over, I was wondering if you know a underrated PS4 PS5 upgrade? Mind you I never had a pro so I am rather easily impressed.

Not sure about „underrated“, but TLoU2, Horizon:ZD, Ghost of Tsushima, God of War, Death Stranding, Nioh 1+2 and Yakuza: Like a dragon all had more or less substantial upgrades, though not all of them for free. Edit: these are just the ones I’ve played/tried, I am sure there are more. Still didn’t like Horizon. Love all the other ones

I'm playing Fenyx at the moment and that seems to be a decent (and free) upgrade, although probably not the most demanding game. Feels nice and fluid and the loading screens when fast travelling are always over before you get a chance to mess about with the character.
Ghost of Tsushima's free 60fps upgrade was great. Never got around to buying the proper PS5 version, as that was enough for me really. Just be aware that you need to counterintuitively use quality mode instead of performance mode, and some other games may be the same (God of War perhaps)

I second Fenyx Rising. I loved that game enough to platinum and I don't usually bother with trophy stuff. Ghost of Tsushima is another must play and again I platinum it.
I'll openly admit though that I love open world games but do need breaks from them. Fenyx, Creed Odyssey, Ghost. All 3 I completed and put a stupid amount of hours in but I never played them continuously. Odyssey I needed two breaks from, one being around 6 months. Fenyx I took a shorter break of maybe a month or so, and Ghost maybe 3 months.
In the end though I loved them but much like your favourite meal, you couldn't have it every day or you get sick of it so need to split up how often you have it.
