What if the box went missing? What is there was no PS5? What's a PS5?

Is your Xmas tree near the TV? Cut a small hole out of the back of the box and plug it in.

What if the box went missing? What is there was no PS5? What's a PS5? You see, my kids, they have been most vocal on the subject of the PS5. Where is the PS5? When are you going to get the PS5? Why aren't you getting the PS5 now? And so on.

Luckily you have experience of pretending to not know something you've played with.

Shakedown testing before handover. 30hrs of Ragnarok would do it.

No worries Rob you won’t regret it! Bloody hilarious. Had a blast on both this evening. I think the boy preferred delivery service. I found the controls quite frustrating but there was plenty of random hilarity. Not sure there is much longevity in them but definitely good fun to mess around in for a while and something a bit different.

Looks like 50% discounts on some stuff - including Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart - on PSN this weekend.

The puzzles are actually quite fiendish and there's actually quite a high degree of satisfaction to be found once you do them. Delivery Service does have a moment mind you when you step into a tornado and your trousers come off so...

Been playing the original PS4 God of War and actually enjoying it now, after playing it a while back and not really getting on with it. I really didn't play very much first time around (don't think I even completed the Dark Elf place), so getting a few more upgrades and better armour is making things more interesting.
The difficulty does feel a bit out of whack though. Tried the third difficulty initially, but it just felt like enemies had far too much health and it was really, really hard. Dropped down to the second and it became very easy. Now I'm a fair bit in to it, there is the odd fight that seems really hard (perhaps because I'm meant to have higher level equipment), when I'm on the main objectives it still feels a tad easy.
Just left Helheim and returned to Freya, so assume I'm a bit over halfway through.

Adds to the fun I guess Both great recommendations though for playing with kids.

RobEG Ha, yes it does. It's atrocious. The whole boardwalk with the Ferris wheel on it sometimes just can't be arsed to load in until you're nearly on it. Cutting edge, it is not. That said, it had the boy literally snorting with laughter last night, so it does something right.

I'm finding the controls really frustrating. Even just getting the parcels onto vehicles is a massive chore. Its fun for a while but we are moving more towards HFF. We're enjoying the puzzle solving, even if the bloody hands don't do what they are told half the time

We do a delivery or two then end up just fucking about. We lost an hour just trying to steal a speedboat from each other. At one point he's literally flying planes at me.
Like I say, once HFF gets it's teeth in it's actually quite a wonderful game. We do still get sidetracked and try to drown each other for an entire evening or I just spend the whole time sabotaging whatever he's doing, but it's great when it clicks. We also try to think way outside the box and see how we can finish a level without actually doing any of the puzzles. It's really freeform like that.

Yeah we've done a fair bit of messing around in planes and helicopters, but think he's starting to get a bit bored of it now. I think he likes the satisfaction of solving stuff in HFF. So hoping I can get him more into puzzle games now and away from Fifa

Ha. It's CoD for mine. I'd be happier with Fifa!

How old is your boy? Mine's only 10 so hasn't discovered COD yet, thankfully. Although I do enjoy a bit of CoD myself even if I haven't played for years. I guess he won't want to play with his old man though

I guess he won't want to play with his old man though 12 and... yeah, I know. He started playing them at the start of the year. It was one of thise things that I fought against but all his mates had transitioned to the MP and he was feeling left out. He only plays the MP anyway which at least isn't as bad and - to be fair - he's bloody mature for his age with a good head on his shoulders. He's actually really good at knowing himself what he can / can't cope with.
I tried to play with him a few times but I don't have the reflexes. I was getting shot by children before I'd even orientated myself after spawning.

Warzone 2.0 or whatever it's called? My 12 year old has started playing that too. It's definitely better than the campaigns. Although he's also back on Fortnite.

Yeah I'm not sure I'd have the reflexes for it either. I was average at best 10 years ago

Forspoken demo is surprisingly good fun. If you can ignore the endless annoying chatter.

I'm still not sure about it. They didn't actually give you anything to do in it, there should have at least been a mission or something so you got to see what the bigger moments may look like. As it is its just fine, the world felt a bit lifeless.

I more meant just the general gameplay to be honest. I thought it was going utterly shit bit it was surprisingly ok.
Going to have to get used to playing games in 30fps again though (or 40 in this case) as it looks quite a bit better in the quality mode.

Yeah the graphics weren't too exciting in performance mode, I didn't look at the other.

Seems to use a different lighting and the detail is noticeably toned down.

Ray tracing I couldn't see any difference at all.
