Worth getting the GOG Galaxy client, as you can link all the other clients into it. Can help avoid inevitably double dipping. It can even connect to your PSN account, although doesn't seem to be working at the moment.

Yeah I do actually use Galaxy 2.0 as my main client. Tend to mainly use the 'Installed' tab though, which means I typically overlook the frankly disgusting number of games in my 'Owned' section lol.

I found that the Steam integration kept breaking on my galaxy client, just got annoyed with googling different fixes and gave up in the end. Nice idea but it really needs official integration (unless they've added that since I last looked)

Nice idea but it really needs official integration (unless they've added that since I last looked) I found that the startup order was important. I think Galaxy needed to start up before Steam, otherwise the integration would break. Given that I had Steam set to autostart with windows, but I only started Galaxy manually when needed, this meant that it broke every time for me... until I worked this out. But it can still be a pain as I sometimes have to shut steam, open gog, get gog to reconnect to steam, then launch steam. :-( |

Whoops, that was faster than me. Titan Quest Anniversary Edition is very much recommended for anyone that likes having tons of interesting character building options at their fingertips.

This is genuinely why I hate using Gog Galaxy. I always hear Steam fanatics talk about how they want one unified launcher, then when GOGG launched, I was just overwhelmed both by how long it took to sync all the accounts and then scrolling through my vast library of games to find the game I want to play. And I'm so anal, I get annoyed when I'm scrolling past and a specific game doesn't show up because the servers haven't synched properly. So I've gone back to just downloading installers directly from GOG.com. All that said, I'm excited about free Ghostrunner next week. 👀 |

GOG Galaxy also refuses to run if you've connected to your machine with RDP, which I've never understood the reasoning behind. The only application I've come across that does this.

I think they've improved the speed of that kind of stuff recently, though ymmv. The search is pretty good. I tend to have a tag for 'must play' games, which means a smaller massive pile to scroll through that the total massive pile  |

Europa Universalis IV is free on Epic. Looks complicated. It is even without dlc But if you ever played total war and found map strategical gameplay much more fun than tactical ones Do recommend it. |
