Mad, had no idea cards didn't carry over into a shootout. It does make kind of sense, as you'd have to substitute the red-carded goalkeeper with another player and that would open a whole can of worms in itself (should they wait for the substitute goalkeeper to warm up properly, are there any subs left or must they use one of the players already on the pitch etc.), but, then again, it shouldn't be used as carte blanche for any player to behave like a tit because they cannot be sent off.
However, Emil is losing the first leg of the semifinals and that could be of some significance...
