Don't know how people can enjoy hunting animals for sport. It's a very cunty thing to do
Why can't they just stick to blowing up cars?

Committing an obvious crime against a real human / national treasure doesn’t sound like the sort of thing that will convince people to side with the kill animals for fun brigade.
And yes those comments about black footballers are unfortunate, I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt after having heard so many of his rants in the past. I think his single mindedness definitely gets the better of him and someone did just try to blow up his house.

Here's a good Twitter thread on the thing Just as an update, this person has now been suspended by Netflix. Totally unrelated to them tweeting negative things about the Chappelle show, of course.

It will probably be a clause the staff have to sign about refraining from talking about the company on social media. I had to sign one when working for Barclays.
They've been suspended while they investigate whether the clause has been broken.

How do they think suspending anyone, anyone at all, (apart from, perhaps, Chapelle) in relation to this is good PR. The order of the culture war day seems to be 'I am an ultra cunt', or 'I am happy to allow other people to get on with their lives' Caveat - as long as no-one is being hurt JUST IN CASE that actually needed to be spelt out. I'm so old and tired. I was letting folks get on with their own thing for 40 years now and nothing has changed really

The suspension is allegedly for forcing their way into private meetings without being formally invited, but that sounds suspiciously like a convenient excuse.

They've been suspended while they investigate whether the clause has been broken. Apparently it was for a different reason, something about them attending meetings they weren't supposed to. Netflix welcomes employees dissenting! Which is bullshit of course, but there you go.

You just don't understand Dave Chappelle and the point of The Closer. It's a personal, sensitive exploration of his own transphobia, and you just don't get it: it's really touching at the end. IF YOU WATCHED IT YOU'D UNDERSTAND.
Or is it just a load of really empty, lazy transbashing where he laughs about beating up a lesbian too (LOLZ) and seems to want to be Jim Davidson 2.0.
This from the guy who stopped doing blackface skits because he realised the wrong people were laughing at them. But trans people, like fair game, yeah? We can all laugh at them. And their white privilege.
Oh yeah, it's the second one.

The new Superman is bisexual now as well, I’m sure the kind understanding comic nerds on the internet will be accepting of that.

It's cool that they're being more progressive with Superman being bi. I don't know why they thought revealing it through what he was looking at with his x-ray vision was a good idea though.

I had a colleague who really liked to point out how ridiculous PC gone mad he thought that was. He seemed to be perfectly OK with the Norse gods being aliens though. No problem rewriting the entire fictional back story of our cultural heritage for profit. Making a fictional interpretation of a fictional character black on the other hand.

I hate to generalise (and realise the irony of doing so in a woke thread) but, you live in Dorset mate, no one's buying that.

In general, anyone who says "I have many black / gay / trans" friends is about to say or do something a bit racists / phobic.

'its not prejudicial' would ring a bit more truthful had it not been called 'Dark Lane' up until the 1930s.

It's the same everywhere down this way though. According to the 2011 census only 49 out of 2278 living in our village came from an ethnic group other than "white". I grew up in Luton, so it was a bit of a culture shock. The biggest problem is that you can't get a decent curry for love nor money down here.

I imagine that none of those 49 people are of South East Asian descent?

It doesn't go into that much detail.
Ethnic Group (C 2011) White 2,229 Asian 13 Black 11 Mixed/multiple 23 Other ethnic group 2

Does Asian on the census account for east Asian as well or just south?

I think for the UK, Asian is Indian and others in that region.

Whichever it is, it's shocking how white everything is. They're also all very brexity.

Wonder how many of them can cook a good curry though? Must be a shock when you come from Luton, too.
