... the 'HP' in HP Sauce stands for the Houses of Parliament.
Just innocently sat on my lunch and my mind went off on a tangent about sauces. That's when I thought about brown sauce and I started to put it together like Columbo. A quick internet search confirmed my hypothesis was correct. It's a genuine revelation to me and I needed to share it with someone. Not to brag but I think I might be even more of a genius than Stefansen.
Feel free to share your own recent revelations.

Can we get user Solid onto the Bermuda Triangle next then after that maybe solve the Princess Diana mystery, then Madeline McCann and then Jeffrey Epstein if you've got time.

Probably not of any interest to anybody else, but I found out last night that the whole "Anakin falls to the Dark Side" scene in Revenge of the Sith was reshot. Originally when Jedi Master Jules Whitfield turns up to arrest the Chancellor, Anakin was already there in the office, and mean old Palps force-nicks Ani's lightsaber, rather than uses his own.
Although they reshot a lot of the scene, there are bits of the fight with Mace Windu where if you pause it you can see Palpatine is holding Anakin's lightsaber.
This was fascinating to me, but I suspect it may only be me.

Mid teens when I realised the cover art for Centrefold by J Geils Band was cleavage as opposed to a pair of jeans.

I recently realised that movies are called movies because they are moving pictures, and my brain did the BBC2 is not transmitting pic with the girl, blackboard and clown for a solid 7 seconds

G string is named after "Groin". Nice.
Hat Trick bugged me for ages, so I had to google it -
Though "hat trick" was used in some newspapers during the 1930s and early 1940s to describe a player scoring three goals in a game, the Hockey Hall of Fame says the genesis of the term came when a Toronto businessman named Sammy Taft promoted his business by offering a hat to any player who scored three goals during an NHL game in Toronto.
Alex Kaleta, a speedy forward with the Chicago Black Hawks (two words at the time), went into Taft's shop on Jan. 26, 1946, and took a liking to a fedora but, the story goes, he didn't have enough money to buy it. Taft offered Kaleta the hat for free if Kaleta scored three goals that night against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Kaleta did that, and then some; he scored four goals in a 6-5 loss at Maple Leaf Gardens. One day - and a lot of media attention to "Alex Kaleta's hat trick" later - the hat was his.

On that - I always thought a hat trick in cricket was so much more impressive/uncommon than in football, so much so that it feels weird to use the same word.

The film would have been infinitely better if June Whitfield had turned up to arrest the chancellor.

For years I have never known that basketball action has a time. You can make a shot within seconds, it's not like football

Another times, a dutch friend told me the truth about the name of his country: Holland is just the name of one region of its. I'm very phenomenal in geography, I can recognize nations around Europe and world in a white map, but ostentaniusly I was contiued to call Holland, Holland. It's a "sineddoche", a way to speech which you call the whole as the name of a single part of it. In Italy we call that country "Paesi Bassi", Netherland, but Holland is a right sineddoche. I thought it was ok because during football match it's called Olanda, Holland, and not "Paesi Bassi". Instead in UK I see it's called also Netherlands during football match

That Dylan Moran isn't dead. I had a complete Mandela Effect and only realised he was still alive when the news about him being in the Witcher came out the other day. I was so convinced he was dead it genuinely freaked me out.

Except that's not true, though, is it? You're actually just watching a really fast slide show.

Hmm, not today, but quite fairly recently I made the connection between Jet Set Willy and jet set in general. Before, it was just a weird name.

Diana came out of hiding in the Bermuda Triangle to take him out, she’s been living there to avoid Prince Andrew.

I thought brown sauce was actually called HP until, I dunno, however old I was when I first ordered a bacon butty for myself.
When I asked for HP I was met with a blank stare by Glenda, busy polishing her signet ring on her tabard, until it clicked. “You mean brown sauce?” she said, disgustingly.
“Err, is that the same thing?”

...that people actually eat lemons. I'd assumed they were only really for juicing/zesting. Barbecued, they still taste like lemons.
