If only the baby had been armed he could have defended his mom. That said after what I received from Christmas it's a miracle there aren't more gift related murders. Thoughts and prayers.

What did you get, Freddo?
It can't be that bad, surely!
Most of my Christmas gift was the last bit of my Apple Watch that I needed to pay for. The Mrs and the little 'un got me a Christmas-themed Iron Maiden T-shirt and a Fry's chocolate selection box. Other members of the family got us gluten-free-focused hampers and the like.
So spill the beans. Or didn't you get any beans?

You can receive *and* send messages via anal beads now? Is this the beginning of the end of mobile phones?

Haha, wtf. That's already an Always Sunny storyline (one of the better episodes of the latest season)

What did you get, Freddo? It can't be that bad, surely! A slightly ‘used’ toblerone

BBC breaching impartiality by failing to include content for bigots over Christmas. Or something.

Stripping someone of a title they won because of how they celebrated is extremely petty and on brand for China.
If that's more cover for the cheating, which is unproven, then I kinda get it. But it still needs to be proven.

Glol I love that anal beads are now a popularly accepted form of cheating in chess. Wonder if in the women's game, they use a lovesense vibrator.

Nice try Jono. I see your deliberate typo and feigned ignorance of the product line. I'm calling Magnus Carlsen

Japan's 2024 continues to be newsworthy, not too common to see a passenger plane rolling down the runway on fire. Everyone got off but it's thought it hit a coastguard plane on landing and no news on that. www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/world-asia-67862184

Jesus Christ, having a single root canal is not the greatest experience but all that? I'd be asking for a fuckton more than 50K in damages.

Not quite in the same league but I had two root canals and a couple of fillings done at once. The logic was that I was all numbed up and was there anyway so might as well. It made sense and the recovery didn’t seem any worse.

My old dentist got struck off for performing tons of unnecessary work. Its easy to pick out things in hindsight but I had an argument with my parents many years after the fact asking how they let us kids have so much done without either thinking the dentist was bent or they are doing a *reeeeeeeeeeaaaaaallllly* bad job of making us brush our teeth.
I know you trust your healthcare professionals to do the right thing but fucking hell. Every time we went in it was something and for kids still with baby teeth.

If someone needed all that amount of work surely their teeth must be in such as state that maybe it's time to just not bother and extract, that's something on every single tooth a human adult normally has.

When I was a kid I had up to 8 fillings in total, and hated the dentist so much that one day I got in the chair and just screamed until he told my mum to take me away and never bring me back.
It took me almost 30 years to go back to a dentist - filings long fallen out - and they told me my teeth were in great condition and didn't need anything done.
I swear my old dentist was Steve Martin.

It probably doesn’t help that streaming has made it so difficult for new acts to make a living playing music so they aren’t able to dedicate themselves to playing and promoting the way others could even ten years ago. Plus artist centred playlists make it easy to be lazy and play it safe.

Reading that story you'd think it was some weirdo harassing eBay staff not the other way around. Bizarre.
