Czech village priest sorry for smashing pumpkins
Unless he personally taught Billy Corgan to play guitar, I don't see how he can be held responsible.

"There is no acute health risk from these bambooware products but repeated exposure to elevated levels of melamine and formaldehyde may be a risk to health, with melamine linked to toxic effects in the kidneys.
Last November the European Commission warned that tableware containing bamboo and other unauthorised additives had not been safely assessed under the regulations and their sale was illegal."
The forum's many bamboo-clad bollocks are probably safe unless you bought piss-proof pants as it appears to be melamine & formaldehyde plasticising agents which'll pickle yer plums rather than the bamboo

I understand that they sell these things to make money to keep their business going in some way, but it grates with me that these products are produced at all. The most eco thing to do is not make them in the first place, then the production, transport, packaging etc are not required.
I have no idea what the solution to this admittedly personal problem might be, but it aint going in to a museum and seeing another 'eco cup' for sale with a logo on it.

To be fair the bamboo cups are meant to be reusable? It's not like they were meant to be sent to landfill after use, and a good number of the bamboo cups were just generic with non-company branding. In that regard it's no different to any other reusable cup?
I have one myself. It has dinosaurs on it 🦖

Yeah, theyre re-useable of course. That's great, but when you go in to every shop or museum or wherever and they all have branded re-usable cups it makes a bit of a mockery of it all. How many cups do we need? I think my anxiety around christmas and the over-comsumption it brings on is manifesting here in concern for the amount of stuff we produce, generally, as a species mainly from an economic compulsion. We need to make less stuff. But how this would be controlled and facilitated is nigh on impossible.

The chemical leeching is less than ideal when so many ethical kids products from when my boy was a baby appear to be made of this kind of plastic-bamboo mix.

The real story there is how the police and forensic services are in such a shit state it took 31 hours to find someone qualified who was able to come and inspect a suspected dead body. Imagine it had actually been a murder.

They'd have lost the most important part of the investigation, if Investigation Discovery has taught me anything!

The fact it was described as 'overused' does conjure up a pretty grim find. The tales that poor doll could tell would probably horrify. 😂

An off duty Alaska pilot riding in a jump seat tried to shut off the engines to a Frontier flight in transit.
He was subdued, the flight diverted and is now being charged with 80 counts of attempted murder

Fucking hell, just made the mistake of looking at the front page as I'd never heard of them before today. (thankfully)
Almost makes the DM look good in comparison.

dfunked Same. Here's a sample of headlines from the front page: "Why we can't let the trans lobby win" "The war on vaping is bad for our health" "The smear campaign against Graham Linehan" "Harry and Meghan's obscene eco-hypocrisy" "The never-ending cancellation of Kevin Spacey" "The Australian revolt against wokeness" Yeah... fuck that site.
