www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-62249049Maybe I'm just heartless, I dunno, but I find it impossible to have much sympathy - notwithstanding the animal welfare issues, this kind of thing is inherently risky. Yeah, same. I mean, they kill the bull anyway, right? Good for it going down fighting and taking some arseholes with it, tbh.

Putting the murder to one side, terrifying the poor bastards to such a degree that they will chase down a mob of idiots is cruelty enough for me.
Fuck. Them. With a bull horn.

Cracking bit of police work to start unravelling the Tamara Ecclestone robbery a few years back. All they had to start with was some CCTV footage of three people getting into a cab. Over a 1000 cabbies, a second taxi journey - with a cabbie who could only remember that he dropped them near a bridge with arches - then tracking down CCTV of where they were dropped and then following a hunch that a nearby hotel was worth checking. They got their first breakthrough, and a dick pic. www.bbc.co.uk/news/extra/nm79bgw32f/tamara-ecclestone-burglary

Was it Ricky Gervais or Henry Rollins who used to do a routine about cheering on the bull and being all like “good” when you hear a bull fighter has been gored?

C'mon, man. It's not like you're an heiress, is it. Us peons have to deal with the standard class of service (ie, we've logged a report, but fuck you).

There's a new telescope in operation designed to detect the birth of neutron stars. www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-61911047A neutron star is so dense a teaspoon full of it would weigh 4 billion tonnes (unimaginable but true). The only thing more dense in the universe is currently the favourite candidate for the next prime minister of the UK.

In a peculiar turn of events I care considerably more for the families of three dumb Spanish fucks killed by a bull than the daughter of the humongous cunt Ecclestone.

I agree but I hesitate at "considerably". "Daddy please don't torture and antagonise the bulls so that they kill you" should carry more weight if you're not able to do that anyway and then leave them in a position where even a £25m burglary won't see them destitute.

Did anyone see the report of the sink hole that opened up under a swimming pool in Israel. 1 person was sucked in and died.
I try to only post offbeat and irreverent stories in this thread, but this just for stuck in my head, it's just fucking terrifying.

I saw the video but I didn't see anyone get sucked in, they all just backed off looking confused. Anyway maybe it's the Locust from Gears of War and they've come to reclaim the Earth.
