Does anyone remember anything from Man of Steel? I think I remember Henry Cavil getting into a bath with Lois fully clothed..?
[edit] oh and Kevin Costner was in it and i remember his role was weird, but I don't remember why.
You've mixed MoS and BvS together.

Have I even seen BvS? Is that the one with the weird cgi not-mustache that's clearly a mustache?

I don’t think any of the references are going to be the slightest bit important. Errm from the trailer I'd suggest Man of Steel is pretty damn important Also think it's fitting that the DCEU will end where it started :P Probably not important. Zod was there trying to destroy earth. If that can’t be worked out within 2 seconds of it happening on screen then I’ll be amazed.

Which one had the guy out of Social Network? Batman v Superman. He was Luthor. I agree that there's gonna be little in this film that won't be explained by the film itself. Unlike with Spider-Man: No Way Home which references a bunch of generally well-regarded films (and Amazing Spider-Man 2) that were watched by millions of people, The Flash is gonna have a problem in that hardly anyone cares about the DCEU and the films that came out a decade ago (or so) haven't really stuck around in popular consciousness the way Raimi's Spidey films have. Maybe that's one reason they're leaning on Keaton's Batman in the marketing. But anyway I think it'll mean the film has to be more-or-less self-contained. That came off a bit snarky, I actually meant it rather matter-of-factly, just about the popularity of the films not necessarily the quality.

I dunno, Snyder cut neckbeards will love it. And Miller's behaviour, actually.

I think the DCU movies made quite a bit of money, so I imagine quite a lot of people have infact seen them.
I'm starting to think I might have seen them, but god they do blur into one beige generic movie.

Kevin Costner smiled benignly as a tornado took him away.

See that bit could have worked but it was poorly executed. You think? I don't know how you could improve the shitty premise of "my mom's name was Martha and you an alien also have a mom names Martha?!" Maybe just don't have it in there. I dunno, it was a shit movie in a sea of detritus.

All of them, had everybody involved been executed, they’d have been better.

Please stop getting Man of Steel mixed up with that utter pile of shit Batman Vs Superman. Martha bullshit was in the later. Kevin Costner waving goodbye to life with a smile was Man of Steel.

I'm starting to think I might have seen them, but god they do blur into one beige generic movie. None of them made Marvel money apart from Aquaman, weirdly enough. Actually, I think the first Suicide Squad did bananas business too. Generally though the likes of MoS and JL made about $400m worldwide whereas most MCU/Spidey films take in $750m-$1b. I'd be surprised if they weren't slight financial disappointments for WB, even if none of them flopped necessarily. But then, a film can be a huge hit but not linger in the zeitgeist. Nobody remembers anything about Alice in Wonderland.

I think BvS made a lot of money but not the money expected for two of the biggest characters in comic books.

I think BvS made a lot of money but not the money expected for two of the biggest characters in comic books. Yeah, that's why the studio started interfering with Justice League, brought in Whedon to rewrite the script, and turned it from a two-part movie into one film with a possible sequel. All this before Snyder had to leave.
