I'm wondering how many of the worst superhero movies I'll need to have seen to enjoy this best superhero movie.

I'm wondering how many of the worst superhero movies I'll need to have seen to enjoy this best superhero movie. It depends how far you want to go back. There were a lot of them before the Marvel stuff exploded.

I've seen the burton Batmans. But am I going to need to have seen the Affleck Batmans, and the Cavill Supermans, and the whatever other stuff they've made that I've avoided recently to get half the references? The trailer makes it look like he's going to be time traveling into events or alternate events from those movies.
I may have seen some of those movies, but I've largely wiped those from my mind.

I don’t think any of the references are going to be the slightest bit important.

Yeah, sure it adds some stuff but for the average cinemagoer I honestly don't think it matters at all. Especially because it's THE GREATEST SUPERHERO FILM EVER AND SEEING IT WILL MAKE YOU FORGET ABOUT EVERYTHING MILLER HAS DONE.

I don't know what it says when half of THE FLASH seems to be Batman.
Is Affleck any good as Bruce/ Bat? And Keaton is 70 odd now. There's nostalgia and then there's Ric Flair stumbling around a ring.
Granted, it does indeed look fun but Ezra is such an unlikeable cunt at this point he can just fuck off.

Given how everyone seems to think it's great, it is a bit weird that they keep promoting it as a batman nostalgia movie. That's usually the kind of thing they do when they don't have confidence in the movie. From the little I've seen of him, Batfleck seems ok, just rather joyless. He was mainly in awful movies though, so I dunno how much was him. I've always kinda wanted them to do an old grizzled Batman on screen, so having 2 of them doesn't really worry me. It's not as if any of the action scenes are going to be done by Keaton himself anyway, and he was great in Spiderman-Homecoming. Not watched the Final Trailer as Final Trailers tend to give away the entire plot of movies, so I usually avoid them.

Batfleck is only in this film for about 5 mins or so.
Tickets are on sale. IMAX job for this.
PS: I have no idea what it’s tracking at 😂

See the Arrowverse is officially over.
Thought it started strong but like many American shows, insisting on 20+ episodes each season just hurts them in the long run.
Flash in particular suffered the most for me the longer it went on. Arrow was great for 2 seasons.
Legends of Tomorrow was surprisingly good.

I feel like the Arrowverse suffered from just having too much stuff to keep up with. Most of their shows were pretty good, at least in parts, but they were all a bit samey, and having to keep up with about 5 simultaneous shows was just to much hard work. It was hard enough with the Netflix marvel shows, and they were much shorter.
Some of the crossovers they did were pretty cool, though by that point I'd largely tapped out.
Isn't Superman & Lois still going?

I used to watch supergirl and the flash in a 'theres nothing else on at 8pm' kind of way and but, yeah, something so milquetoast is basically impossible to maintain interest in. I am amazed they lasted so long, tbh.

I wish more people had watched Legends of Tomorrow. The first season was crap, but it gradually morphed into one of the weirdest things on TV.

The problem was that the first season wasn't great, and also that the first season was built around characters from Arrow and Flash so you kinda needed to have watched those to get into it.

Yeah, I know. But then it turned into a show where they had to go back in time to save young Obama from getting killed by Gorilla Grodd.
And that's one of the less insane ideas.

So apparently there's a cameo spoiler for The Flash going round. I've not actively sought it out so I don't know who it is; but nor can I be mithered muting loads of words on Twitter just in case.
Anyway, for those who are really excited about the film, maybe tread cautiously.

I forced myself to get through the first season due to so many people saying it got great in S2, but enjoyed it so little that I just couldn't bring myself to carry on. The constant crossover episodes were so fucking annoying in the arrowverse if you were only watching one of the shows.
I should probably give it another shot now.

I think Matt Ryan turning up as Constantine is when it really started to shine, but that wasn't until S3 or so.

Going to avoid certain sites that I know will post the headline but not the spoiler only to have said spoiler as the picture.

I was actually looking forward to the seemingly inevitable JGL Robin film. Feels like he should've been more of a leading man than he ended up being.

Does anyone remember anything from Man of Steel? I think I remember Henry Cavil getting into a bath with Lois fully clothed..?
[edit] oh and Kevin Costner was in it and i remember his role was weird, but I don't remember why.
