I might have to open the Lego batwing that's been sitting in the loft for the past year after watching that.
Could be good, could be total shit. I'm not about to rush to a midnight screening of it, anyway. They haven't exactly been on a winning streak with recent DC films lately.

Looked like the plot is Flash breaks universe, an hour or so of Batman callbacks and in jokes and then a CGI fest.
Might be alright but the multiverse thing already kills a lot of excitement I would’ve had.

I'm not really a fan of the new trailer, the first one not bothering to detail Flashpoint very much seemed to be a better idea.

The Flash/Bat suit looks it. Maybe because they didn't want it leaking while filming?
But yeah the main suit has just had the yellow bits added.

A lot of people on Twitter seem to have seen The Flash and are raving about it. Which, if I'm honest, makes me incredibly cynical. I now assume it's going to be fairly poor.

It was a free IMAX preview screening they did throughout the US. The reviews I’ve seen are saying it’s one of the greatest superhero films ever made.
I seriously doubt that but at least WB/DC have got the confidence to show the film in full at Cinemacon and do preview screenings.

Gunn said its the best film he's watched this year. WB have been confident in it since its original release date and its been getting Dark Knight test scores.
Some of the special effects still look a bit too CGI and obviously you have the whole Miller stuff but you will also have a lot of movie goers who legit don't know about most of that.
Big Batman and Flash fan and it does look like it should be a really fun film and interesting to see what the post credits stuff is(been removed from these early viewings) and how it sets up the new stuff.

Genuinely, I think it will be fine. Three-star fine. I imagine there'll be some cool action and decent character stuff for Barry and then it'll degenerate into a mess of effects shots and go on for half an hour too long.
I'm still weighing up whether I'll see it. I really don't want anything to do with Miller.

We are now in the 'superhero movies can actually flop' phase of the fad and it does feel like nobody really gives a shit about this, even if it does turn out to be ok.

If it does flop, or at least not do massive business (let's say Quantumania numbers, $400m-500m) then it's quite interesting looking at Twitter. Because I keep seeing people frothing about it, whereas Avatar ($2-point-something-billion) was a ghost town of discourse.

The only reason I’m tempted to watch the Flash film is because of Batman. Even that looks like they’ve just gone all in on the nostalgia which also puts me off as it seems lazy.
I’ll wait until it’s streaming for free and watch then if it gets good reviews.
There are few films I’ll go to the cinema for now, mediocre Marvel or DC films aren’t it. I will when those are really good and don’t have a cunt in them.
