It's always nice to see the 'tier 2' (for want of a less patronising term!) nations turn up and acquit themselves well, and it's good for the sport, too.

alastairCouldn't agree more. I think the 'TMO bunker' applied mitigation due to the involvement of another French player, who allegedly changed the dynamic of the tackle; however, the Uruguayan player's height hardly drops at all regardless, while Taofifenua is always too upright (and failing to wrap, as you point out). Can a citing officer even get involved at this stage, given that the incident was referred to the TMO during the game - anyone know? Either way, it's another inconsistent application of the laws.

Be interesting to see if it all goes tits up this weekend.
I would certainly hope that Kevin Sinfield has drilled it into all the England players that they have to be low, low, low and whiter than white this weekend. If they get another player red carded... Well, I don't know what will happen!!
