Farrell out of the 6 nations with an ankle injury, wouldn’t wish injury on anyone but thank fuckery for that

Lock is looking like a problem, even a long term (2023 WC) problem. Hill unlikely to make the opening game, Ewels is barely Bath quality* and I have no idea how he keeps getting picked, Isiekwe plays 6 at Sarries, Ribbans unlikely to be given a shot this tournament, and Launchbury keeps breaking of late.
Itoje+Lawes is problematic in scrums because Lawes has played 6 for years now, lost bulk and would be backing up Sinckler, who I still don't rate as a scrummager. He gets done over quite a lot.
I'm hoping Chessum is the messiah that Tigers fans say he is, he's got the bulk to be a great 5 in theory. Be interested to see where Kruis ends up, and what form he's in after playing in Japan, next season.
If Itoje gets injured then.... fuck.
*That might be a bit mean but I stand by it.

How long is Dupont out with the Rona? France have Italy at home so I doubt it matters one bit, he'll be available by week 2

Such an obvious thing to do I can't believe they didn't do it years ago. Didn't even need a name change.

I like that squad, (I think that's one of the most mobile packs I've ever seen) but I think it's going to struggle in the weather that's forecast.
By some combination of act of god/oversight/not letting Eddie pick it, there's even a 5:3 bench!

It’s Brian Moore’s last commentary for the bbc as well

I quite like Moore. He's the only commentator on there that seems to point out the flaws in 'his' team. Beats listening to Butler's weird poetry or Jiffy squealing NUMMMMMBAAAHHHHS!

And Toonie for once hasn't spun the Tombola when picking his side:
I'm not sure I like us having a settled side of experienced players who've beat pretty much everyone lately. Fills me with the fear.
Except Ben White, which is a very WHO? When Ben Vellacott is playing so well currently for Edinburgh. Everything else is reasonable, if you swapped Cummings for Gilchrist that's good but not a massive deal breaker or anything.
Jones' picks seem very un-England as its not just reliant on big lads. Dunno how I feel about that. The surprise element may be terrible. I am looking forward to Curry fucking losing his shit even though he's captain though.

I'd heard that Vellacott was doing well at Edinburgh - I don't think we (Wasps) ever really saw him at his best, but I'm pleased he's rediscovered his mojo.

Yeah he's been great. Edinburgh had a couple big changes this year, Mike Blair replacing Cockerill for one, but Vellacott came in at scrum-half and Kinghorn has moved from fullback to 10 and its night and day. They're playing some great attacking rugby now while still having a bastard of a pack. Top of the URC right now.
I thinks this was his first player of the match:

Don't know if it's home advantage for Ireland, or the fact that Wynn Jones is in for repairs, but I've not seen Wales play this poorly for quite a while.

The pack is completely outmatched, Adams at centre hasn't been a good idea and LRZ has been poor.
Ireland's pressure is massive. Should really have been targetting the TBP by now
