England came very close to squeaking a result but no, let's do some crossing to completely fuck up a try attempt, oh and keep giving away fucking stupid penalties all the bloody time.

No League.... BUT.
First half of NZ v Aus probably the best game I've seen in some time.

Many will say, "But who do you replace him with, 10 months out from a World Cup?"... and it's a fair question, to be sure. I don't have an answer, to the surprise of exactly no-one, but I don't think it matters all that much - almost anyone could do as good a job as Fast Eddie.
Dean Richard’s is free…

elstoofI never thought I'd say this, post-Bloodgate, but I detest Jones so much that I'd take Deano any day of the week.

I like to think he’s have been a nailed on england coach but for bloodgate, he turned that Quins side into a class act otherwise. Did a decent stint at Newcastle, reckon he’d be good for England

New coach syndrome always has an effect too. Wouldn't be averse to it at all. Might get some sort of logic in the selections instead of what we're faced with this week, which includes, in the whole 23:
4 locks 1 flanker 2 No 8s 3.5 centres 3 back 3 players

It was a real shame for them to lose so narrowly, especially having played 3/4 of the game with 14 players and managing to take it down to the wire regardless.
Still a great campaign, though.
I feel for the carded player, but it was a clear-cut red for me.

Samoa giving England a game in the League semi-final, they've just scored a worldie of a try.

Samoa giving England a game in the League semi-final, they've just scored a worldie of a try. England were embarrassing there. They thought it would be a walkover and were already thinking of tie final. They beat Samoa 60-6 or something less than a month ago. Really sloppy and they deserved to lose.

Yeah, that was a sickener of a challenge, and the England player should not have been allowed to play on after that.

I thought they looked nervous and didn’t perform at all If you’ve not played to your potential due to the occasion then it’s fair for people to accuse you of choking. They definitely choked I’m a league fan as I come from one of the main rugby league towns so it was a very disappointing day

Great game. S.a. and France so much better than England it's worrying.

Can't see past France for the World Cup. Shaun Edwards would butcher them to a man if they choked.
Sick of Eddie's bullshit so Im having them as my second team in lieu of Japan for now.

With the ABs recent inconsistency I would have said France, Ireland, SA, but Ireland can't win QFs and have to beat either NZ or France in their side of the draw. On top of that there are signs they might be peaking too early and they're still totally dependent on Sexton being held together with tape, chewing gum and the hope of a nation.

I would not be surprised if England choked completely and it's two of Samoa, Japan or Argentina to go through from Group D.

I'd love to see a French victory, but I'm basically of the 'anyone but England' persuasion - if Jones manages to win the World Cup, the smugness will be unbearable, and the RFU will say that all the wasted years of his tenure were somehow worthwhile.
