That was fucking insane. I think at some point the ref just had a meltdown as he was so sick of listening to Biggar and just went "Fucks this shit"

That was a proper shithouse of a match from players 1-23 on both sides plus the officials. No-one is leaving it in a good mood.

Darge is dynamite.
Also we are fucked. I saw a double rainbow, it's an omen of doom.
Also fun fact this is Scotland's first 3 test tour ever.

Stop kicking the ball away aimlessly. It's fine when we have Hogg, Price, Russell and Redpath all on the pitch able to kick from hand brilliantly, they're not all playing so adjust the pissing tactics you braindead idiots.

Not a great weekend for the NH teams, all told. I reckon Ireland and Scotland will acquit themselves better next week, while Wales probably blew their best chance to beat the Boks; as for England, they had a one-man advantage for most of the game, plus injuries to three (?) of the Wallabies' starting lineup, and they still screwed the pooch. They might grind out an ugly win in the second Test, but I wouldn't bet the house on it.

Kinghorn just isn't an international 10, when there was space out wide the ball just didn't get there cleanly. Passes went to noone, behind people etc. Plus his kicking range is limited, he can kick great like a fullback booting it long and hard, but he doesn't have a subtle set of grubbers or chips to by pass a rushing defence.

Is Hastings injured? He seems like a bland but solidly effective 10 as backup to Russell. I ended up watching the tennis so dunno if he played.

Hastings pulled out of the tour last minute with an injury, hamstring or something. Huw Jones as well. So we're resting the first choice 10 and 15 and the backups are injured. Though people seem to think Kinghorn is better than Hastings but that seems like bullshit. There's also Ross Thompson for 10.

Wales did alright, mostly by trying to out shithouse the world champion shithousers (surprising lack of outright violence but that's a good thing). I'm supporting France for a bit. They're basically international Quins so I don't have to feel like a traitor.

I dedicate the Bokke win to Danno. He thinks we're foul tempered but fuck him, don't care what he thinks. Love you user Danno.

They did indeed, but I think they caught the Boks napping, and that probably won't happen again.

Cheers, Danno.
Very lucky indeed, I'd say - this wasn't masterful winding-up that elicited the desired reaction (Marler vs. Haskell, anyone?), just old-fashioned scumbaggery.

At this point in time, nothing Jones does would surprise me in the slightest.

He was out cold for at least 5 seconds, so I'm unsurprised. Caught a knee by getting his head on the wrong side

Ireland were a joy to watch.
Every game though I get more and more disgusted by both NZ and AUS, I really don't like their dislike and continous push back against the safety rules. It is a new safee era and we should not be fighting to allow high tackles and head contact.

Yeah pretty poor. Should have been two Reds.
Possibly a penalty try as well. Some shitty tactics today.

England just winning a game that they were totally dominating in the first half, a win is a win though.

A lucky win in the end that. Are you referring to the Genge forearm incident? That was classic rugby shit housery/psychology: make a dominant tackle, help yourself up by pushing your opponent into the mud, it's taught in schoolboy rugby. It's not nice, it's not admirable but even using the forearm it's also not a red. Certainly a penalty and if he'd had a yellow he couldn't have had too many complaints, but it wasn't serious foul play. I didn't think it was a good England performance again (the first 30mins were decent but then lost their way). Nice to win, and on balance it was earnt rather than lucky, but England still feel less than the sum of their parts. Feels like continuing with Jones is wasting everyone's time by continuing. We need a new era.
