Yeah tuck in to the left as soon as you enter - there's a support pillar for the tunnel - and chip away with a bow or magic.
There's only one major attack that can knock you out, so just tuck in again an keep chipping.
In fact, this is a common tactic you can employ throughout 😊

Who was it who had pure black tendency in 4-1 in co-op with Quaddy and myself? I've never seen so many black phantoms, I think they were breeding.

He'd died quite a lot in human form so the black phantom in 4-1 spawned and he wasn't having a good time until we turned up. That was the same session where you disconnected in the adjudicator boss room, and then I died, and I was talking solid through the fight over the mic  |

4-1 in pure black is a bitch. My mate was stuck at the entrance unable to get past whoever the black phantom who waits there was. He had to use the thief ring to be able to summon me in so we could take him down together. Still took a while as he was one shotting us!

Yeah it can be really hard when you're starting out. Luckily we were fairly levelled by the time we got there so it was ok. But on your own, it's like a vanguard fight at level 1

We were very early on. Think it took about 10-15 back stabs and some other damage to see him off and having to not get hit at all! Probably the hardest fight we had. Especially as he ended up building a magic character that ended up just firestorming everyone to death in seconds. I did enjoy Demons remastered a lot but playing it again now its clear the later games all improved on it. *whispers* even DS2  |

Plodding through this, just soaking it all in. I really wish they held fire on the Dark Souls remaster in favour of the full remake treatment.

I've always preferred the exploration and progression to the bosses in these games,
I've moved on the 2-2 and I've gone one way through a tunnel which has brought me to snake type creature burrowing up from the ground, so I've pegged it back to a lift that has dropped me down to 2 red phantoms!!
Exciting!!

Went back to the rock snake things seen several platforms with loot on so dropped down to the first one and then noticed these lava type enemie, as I was rotating the camera for a better look I fell to my death ffs 🤔

Holy shit, I'm lost! Just been tricked by some fucka whilst retrieving my souls.. I've dropped from ledges, ran from enemies and come across a fog door I'm now cowering in a tunnel with zero health!

Yeah, welcome to 2-2 I hope your brought along some graph paper and a pencil! It's a bloody maze down there. Couple of things Where those 2 red phantoms were, just after them is a dead end, but it has loads of crystal lizards in it. So If you do get back there, be mindful of them, because as soon as they clock you, they'll leggit and you'll have a short amount of time to get them and the loot The things that sprout out of the ground are weak to magic, if you have anything. Or you can just run by them. The ledges are a pain - have to be very careful not to fall to your death, as you've found out. There are also some of those exploding orbs that you saw in 2-1 - watch out for those around corners etc. You'll eventually find a lava lake. This is an important location. If you can kill the large bugbears and get to the lakes shore, don't be tempted for the shiny in the lake just yet, but take a left and go into the second left hand turn you come across for a nice item. Apart from that, good luck and take. It. Easy. |

The blacksmith in 2-1 can usually upgrade what Ed cannot.

The dragon sword was the item I was on about at the lake. You can level it up, but as Danno says, you need to unlock the blacksmiths brother in 2.1. plus it takes different upgrade materials. Definitely unlock the blacksmith in 2.1, as he not only upgrades the stuff the other guy doesn't, but also he's the guy that can transform upgraded items with boss souls into unique items. I'd heavily recommend looking up what boss souls provide what weapons, as some can be used for create different things (including certain spells from freke in the Nexus once he's released), so you'll have to decide what to use them on. |
