So he didn't even turn up at that gate? Odd But regardless, you have to kill the tower Knight. Nope. And yep. I got him to about half by taking out the archers and shooting him then heading down. That one is doable with some practice. If you're interested in side quests (like I am), I wonder what would happen if you went back to 1-1 where you first saw ostrava and see if he still needs an escort. Although you did say he's got things to do which is normally the trigger. Did you kill all the guys in his path or did you leave any alive? |

Stupid question but have you checked the Nexus? After the second time seeing him he takes a seat on the beam crossing between the centre. Possible you might've saved him in the tunnels without talking to him as on a few playthroughs of the original I forgot about him at the second point and he'd either show up in Nexus or at the next meeting point anyway.

Only reason I mention the Nexus is because it's such a weird place for him to sit, I don't even know why the beam is there other than for him to sit on and in the later games some people don't move on until you've exhausted their conversation, possible it happened as far back as Demon's too.
If it makes you feel better though he's still sitting in the Nexus for me and never moved to his third location which I've been through already, so he's definitely a weird one. At least he's still alive for me but yeah bugged in the original and bugged here too.

Co-op is something I couldn't get working on demon's souls, I imagine it's because many people had moved on from it as well as it being limited playerbase compared to something like Elden Ring.

Well I've rolled a character. Basic soldier or something similar. I'm just at the fog gate with the blue eyed Knight near ostrava, so I should be able to get to the right level to coop soon

Yeah, whilst other souls games have various different qualities and updates etc, I don't think any one of them is as impressive as the atmosphere in Demon's.

Thank fuck I killed 5-1 first time as I might have never played it again.
Is area 2 the only place you get weapon upgrades. Not sure how high I should be but currently the claymore is +6 and just need one more large stone to get to +7.
Not feeling how many enemies are weak to magic and not physical as I've gone all in on strength, stamina, claymore.

Yeah, they can be punishing. It's always worth looking where the shortcuts are and aiming for those first before attempting a boss. The bosses aren't ridiculously hard, but you know what it's like when you make a daft mistake and boom....back you go.
There are a lot of upgrades in 5-2, if that's what you mean? But they might not suit your scaling requirements. World 5 is for blessed weapons iirc. World 3 is moonlightstone, world 4 for darkmoonstone, etc etc.

Generally found all over, but world 2 has the most concentrated amount.
did you kill all the miners that have sacks? They only spawn once and have a 100% guaranteed drop rate of the above stones
