I kickstarted both the Dark Souls and Bloodborne board games at the all-in level. I haven't even opened half of the stuff that came. There's bloody loads of boxes for both and I've had to put quite a lot of board games and other assorted tat into storage as we're planning on moving again soon. Both good games though.
Hoping for a room big enough to get everything on display shelves in the next house!

I backed both Dark Souls and Bloodborne board games as well. Played souls a couple of times with mates and whilst we enjoyed it for the most part we all agreed it was a bit too grindy and definitely requires some house rules (of which good ones are online such as double souls half sparks). I haven't painted anything from Bloodborne yet but I have painted all dark souls core game, including some of the Kickstarter extras. Edit - just uploaded all current pics of the figures I've painted from Core box to Imgur so I'll take take this opportunity to link to it! Painted Souls

The old instincts have kicked in, one shotted Amelia (despite the earlier failures) Witch, Shadows and Rom. Just waiting for the other half to go to bed so I can continue.

Assuming you mean you beat them first time, otherwise you might be a touch overlevelled

Yes. I also 'remembered' that the piggies can one shot you with the ground slam. Just don't ask how I remembered that

Oh the goddam Pthumerian Descendant (the Depth 5 Pthumerian Ihyll version) is doing my head in. The Cursed Defiled bosses and even Loran Darkbeast were tough but all fell in the end as their attacks were manageable once learnt, but this BASTARD is making mincemeat of me. I have got his first phase kind-of sorted but once he splits his sickle in two I last seconds, usually by getting stuck in the damn pillars. Anyone got any tips for this absolute cocksucker?

Git Gud... At parrying him. Or, if you have decent Arcane, (30+) cheese him with Executioner Gloves or Blacksky Eye. Pop on a rune for more bullets, use blòòd bulletts, and spam him down. Simon's Bowblade works as well if you're a skill build.

Good luck! Can recommend an arcane build btw, pairs well with skill (Blades of Mercy) or anything with a decent arcane gem(s) in it. A lot of bosses are surprisingly susceptible to being cheesed with the gloves/eye/brew

If you're calling bosses names, you've probably lost the mental battle. I tend to call it a day if I've died against a boss 3 or 4 times in a row, too rattled at that point to make any progress. There's been plenty of times I've come back after a break and beaten a boss I was struggling with on the first or second attempt

There's been plenty of times I've come back after a break and beaten a boss I was struggling with on the first or second attempt Heh, it was more mock anger than true rage. I still enjoy getting beaten down by From bosses repeatedly and have eventually beaten solo each boss twice (NG & NG+1) in Demon's, Dark 1 and 2 prior to Bloodborne. I take many, many goes but eventually win through. One day I might even git gud.

Have you not done DS3 yet? Good luck beating Pontiff Sullivan without a swear No, slowly working my way through the Souls-likes. I'm mostly playing games that interest me by release order (though I might alternate genres for variation). The problem is that they keep making good games faster than I can play them so I am currently in 2015. I still have The Witcher 3 and Fallout 4 before I can crack open the delights of 2016, with DS3 being the most anticipated of that bunch.

At last the Descendant is down. Indeed, getting the gun parries was the way to victory in the second phase. Once I equipped that Rune that adds two shots with every visceral, I had enough to squeeze through despite my high miss to hit ratio.
Made it to the headless Bloodletting Beast and he is also proving a stiff challenge. Not sure if he is better locked on or locked off as the camera is pointing in the wrong direction regardless and I usually die due to not knowing what the fuck is going on. I've not spent too much time with him though, so maybe I'll get the hang of his timings once I have died 50+ times as usual!

I think you're near the end now. Final boss is a treat (not too difficult but really cool)

The headless bloodletting beast is a camera nightmare. I think I didn't lock on and just hugged his legs the entire time.

Well Bloodletting Beast and his big maggotty surprise is toast. It ended up being not as bad as I thought as his attacks timings were reasonably telegraphed and the usual trick of rolling to the back right of the boss mostly worked.
So I met the final boss of the Chalice dungeons in it was as horrible and climatic as is appropriate for this Masterpiece of a game. It took quite a few goes, mainly from me hanging back from pure fear and not understanding her moves, but the Platinum is mine at last!
Now, onwards to finish off NG+1. Returning to the Unseen Village, Upper Cathedral Ward and Mensis fills me with dread since I now know what is coming. Unseen has the wretched bell ringers and their reincarnation magic, Upper Cathedral Ward has the brown trousers causing Brainsucker hordes and Mensis has the Winter Lanterns and The Brain...the brain... gahh, they really got the sense of cosmic horror right in the last third. Thankfully the bosses won't be too bad after the Depth 5 Chalices despite having NG+1 buffs. Then its back to the DlC and the utter drubbing those particular three bastards will give me again (Ludwig, Orphan and the prince of my pain himself, Laurence). Maybe I'll one-shot them this time since I have the skillz?
