If there is a war it's a nuclear one because Russia is struggling enough with just Ukraine. You start including NATO in that and they get steamrolled. So basically don't worry yourself about it, if it happens then you are dead or better off dead anyway. Can't live your life worrying about what might be! Nothing quite like the threat of impending nuclear annihilation to ring in the incoming new year next month am I right lads?

Good old existential dread. Wonder what the Doomsday clock is set to these days.
Oh, 90 seconds to midnight, which is where it was set in January 2023, and is the closest it's ever been to midnight.
Wonder if we'll break the 60 second mark this January. Happy new year 🥳
Time to listen to Neunundneunzig Luftballons.

I'm guessing this is your (@junior) first time with potential global level impending nuclear doom?
Fwiw, it was a thing we were on the verge of in the 70s and 80s as well and they had corrupt arses and senile celebrities in charge of the USA too, and it didn't happen then either.
I wasn't alive in the 60s but I'm pretty sure it was a thing then too, and even a bit in the 50s.
Basically, Frog's right. I shouldn't stress about it.

I also think a major strike on London unlikely - there are a lot of Russia's richest with family here.

I reckon an attack site would be a major city outside the capital. Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Liverpool etc
Hope I'll be at ground zero and get instantly killed and avoid the slow death.

True. I mean, feel free to ignore me and panic yourself into a state too, if you prefer, it's not really any skin off my nose.

Nah, a bit like Jambo it was a phrase knocking around my head from elsewhere. I didn't have any feeling behind it. Edit: And if the prevailing winds hold, I have a slightly bigger chance of surviving well into the nuclear winter starvation phase. Result!

Fair enough. People should carefully consider before taking advice from me anyway, though.
