I can imagine living in Latvia and Estonia is very worrying at the moment. Both NATO members and both sharing borders with Russia, they are literally world war 3 starter countries...

I don’t know if it feels about the right time to call up Tom Hardy to sort this mess out. What's Russian for fucking cunt Cyka Blyat should suffice. Shit, this means I can't like Russian Hard Bass anymore. Best check twitter to see their opinions or lack of.

Ahhh so that's what all the enemies in the Metro series have been shouting at me other than "FUCKING BITCH" and "THERE'S THE BITCH!".

My girlfriend is worried about her family in Slovakia which also borders Ukraine. The worry is that Putin is basically trying to restore the USSR so of course, all former Soviet countries feel very nervous. Him moving against any NATO or EU countries is unthinkable, but only if Europe can muster some sort of meaningful resistance without troops on the ground.
Also interesting to hear that in Slovakia a lot of the older generation support Putin and for some reason blame the US for somehow forcing Russia to invade Ukraine to protect itself, which is just so batshit and depressing. I hate that disinformation works.

I've heard some of it at work today.
Basically boils down to "We wouldn't like it if China had missile bases in Ireland" or "Look at the Cuban Missile Crisis to see USA's reaction to an enemy having missiles close to their home".

EU doesn't have an army though? Yeah but attacking a EU Country may provoke a stronger response from EU members.

Was glad to see this from Ireland. Hopefully other countries will follow suit. Sad truth of the refugees being majority white rather than black or brown will probably help.

Ignoring how ridiculous both of those statements are on their own, do some people really think he’s invaded because he feels threatened? That’s laughable.

Wow, actual sanctions. Asset freezes on all major Russian banks and apparently, forfeiture on 100 "key individuals" too.
Boris might have grown a pair.

Obviously really worry about what is going to happen to those Russians protesting on the streets, but it's undeniably great to see.

That's the parliamentary timetable fucked then!
Not banning them from SWIFT just gives Labour a tap in, as surely it must follow
