You should, it's great. The only thing that's going to make me uninstall it is the release of 3. It won't matter much to you if you've never played it, but some of the recent additions to the game have been excellent. My only real concern is that they're testing mechanics they're working on for 3 and by the time it gets here there won't be anything really new.

SoD2 is one of my favourite Xbox games. The Juggernaut edition really improved things.

I loved State of Decay 2 and the add-ons. It made me feel terrified of losing characters I’d become attached to and invested in, in a way that XCom never managed for some reason.
I did also wonder if the stuff they’re putting into this Curveball thing will end up in SoD3- if so, I can wait rather than possibly spoil it.

I STILL don’t have this dashboard update. What’s with this slow rollout? I don’t think I do either: haven’t noticed a difference. I still don't have it either, despite receiving a system update 2 days ago. Very odd. Maybe a few common bugs have been reported, so they've paused the rollout until they're resolved.

I've had the new dash for over a month now, but I'm in the highest tier preview programme, aside from the the invite only Alpha group that is.
It's not rolling out officially yet is it?
Think it's an insider programme only thing at the moment, and maybe not even all of those groups yet.

I’ve had it for over 2 months and I don’t like it. Can we trade?

I saw this and thought it was some random crap that would quickly get yanked from the store but guess not..
Looks like it needs a subscription.

Yes it's £30 a year or £80 lifetime access. I'd be tempted, some of the Amiga games listed bring back fond memories, but it's bound to be one of those things where the memory is better than the actual game in most cases. Not so many Speccy games I recognise though (no Silkworm? Bubble Bobble/Rainbow Island? Wonder Boy? ( Full list here if anyone's interested )

It's emulation, via streaming, so the lag might be an issue as both are contributors. With a lack of scanline options it won't look great either.
The fact that it's properly licensed though is very encouraging. If they could somehow make it so the emulators were running locally, and with visual options, I would happily subscribe despite having a Launchbox setup.

Yeah I've just got it.
Don't like that I can't move my group's up on the home screen. Or that you can only have 2 groups now.
I want to be able to get rid of "Most played games" I don't give a crap about everyone playing Fortnite. Don't care about top entertainment apps, cross platform games or all the other stuff that should only be advertised in the actual store.

My official rechargable battery pack has appeared to cease charging, which is a bit shit.

My official rechargable battery pack has appeared to cease charging, which is a bit shit. I had no luck with the official ones. First one done ok, got maybe 2 years out of if. Three replacements all failed to charge. I now use some of the aftermarket ones that come in a twin pack. Don’t hold charge as long but they do the job. The wifes got the official battery and that bastard has been going strong for about 7 years now.

My charge doesn't seem to last as long now. Got it when the Series X launched.

I really dislike the new dash on the series X, gone is the xbox gamepass section (later edit, its at the top, missed it) and rows of crap I don't want. Don't think you can move stuff?, so you are advertised Battle royale shite or some film. I like the top of games is smaller and the settings right at the top is from older dash I think.

Hate it. The first part is okay with us now able to see the background though the ads at the bottom should be smaller(same size as the game/app tiles)
But as soon as you scroll down it's an ugly mess.
I don't want the store. I want my group's.
I had one for Series X games. Another for Xbox One, Xbox 360, Xbox and then another for apps. 5 group's, that's all I want. I don't care what's popular.

Lack of multiple pinned groups in the new update is super annoying but I noticed you can still group and have easy access to pins through a single tap of the guide button.

When I got it the biggest problem I had was I used to down and A to get to my library...now thats the store so always going there by accident.
Recent promo pictures on the Xbox Wire site had it replaced with library but not on mine so far. It's basically one big Game Pass dashboard. All my media players were next group down but now three down after new Game Pass games etc

I actually like the look of it, but it seems to be only a minor change. Once you scroll down it looks like the old design again. Once you open a folder, open Gamepass, or open the store, it’s the same old. All this time and it feels like a very minor change.

Rotating 3 sets of two batteries. Seems fine after about 3 years so far.

There seems to be program on PC that lets dickheads get your xbox account permaneltly banned by spamming report bans
This is purely a Microsoft issue
If you are permanently banned on XBox you will lose all of your games, so take this seriously
The exploit is a mod menu that people can use on PC while connected to an XBox Party.
It allows the asshole using it to repeatedly send false reports to XBox Live until your XBox account get's permanently banned. This menu has other options to disrupt the party and the people in it, but we're only focusing on the most severe exploit.
To be safe, stay out of XBox parties until this is addressed.

Thanks for the warning - Xbox party is a specific thing you set up to follow the same players through different games, right? As in, I'm not in a Party just by joining random squads in Fortnite or Warzone, it's something you launch separate to the game you're in.

Its unknown at this stage if it can be used outside of xbox parties. Hoping its all made up but apparently there was a tool similar to this few tears ago. MS support is mostly awful and will not give a shit until something really goes wrong eg "XBL accounts were being hacked on mass" about 10 years ago

Anyone had any experience repairing stick drift? I have a second controller where the stick needs replacing. Can't be bothered to get all the stuff to replace the stick myself as I believe it needs soldering. Technically my problem isn't drift but one quadrant of the stick not registering if that makes sense (shows up as a blank white section in the "test circularity" thing on this page hardwaretester.com/gamepadAnyone know of a good repair service where I can send the controller off and get someone to do it for me? I can see a couple on ebay, I guess worst case it doesn't work and I'm out £15...
