One Xbox at his mum's and one at mine, which I also use.
There doesn't seem to be a way of transferring the gamertag and all its content without fucking up my email etc. Unless I'm being stupid, which is entirely possible.

Options are available that depend on what you want to do. If you are one Xbox it's very easy, you can access the same stuff on the same Xbox. If you are on separate Xboxes, make your one the "home" Xbox for his account, and then when you log into it you will still have access to everything attached to that account. As long as he is logged into his Xbox then he can also access the content But him getting his own account would be the cleanest and set him up going forward. He just needs to add all the same friends, right? The problem is his other Xbox is located at his mum's, and all his dlc doesn't show up on his tag, it does if he signs in as me obviously. I've put his email address as an additional alias on my account, can I make that my primary address or will it, because it's a child account, course problems? Would I then be able to use the family app for that email address and still sign in using my normal one? I'm loathed to try incase it borks something.

You need the xbox at his mums to be your 'home' xbox. You can lock it down so he can't rinse your bank account. Anyone signed into that console will be able to play any of the content that you own without the need for you to be. The only downside is that you'll need to be signed in and online to play on your own xbox. No internets - no games.

Any content tied to his own tag will be available when he signs in, and to you if you make your xbox his home xbox.

I'd try out the child account option, see what it lets you do. If the child account is still tied to the main adult account content could be golden?
Whether that will transfer across their CoD ranking / unlocks is another question (probably not).

It doesn't tie on content unless it's on the home Xbox and you can only change that 5 times a year.

Indeed. Although technically there is no transfer between accounts here, just aliases. I don't suppose there is any reason why I can't try it, I should be able to revert to my previous alias if it doesn't Probably won't work though.

So the main thing you want to keep is the gamertag?
You can change it, but I'm not sure if it would immediately be available to use for a new account.

No, the most important thing is having the content available across the two households. It'll be easier for his mum to set up internet controls, I can't be arsed with the shite anymore.

I don’t like it. In screenshots it looks better, but now pressing down gives you a bunch of categories I don’t want on my home screen, and moving the Games and Apps tab to the top, and placing a new “create your own group” button in its old place makes it less convenient. It’s more clicks, and an unwanted tile added. Why doesn’t Xbox just let me have a minimalist, uncluttered home screen?

We get half the store shoved on the front screen and perhaps no way to organise pins. Needs a 'just leave it the fuck alone' option.

Anyone got any experience of getting a series X repaired under warranty?

Series X no. But any other console issue has been nothing but great customer service. Though I do seem to be lucky and always get the team actually in the UK answering.
My one X was back to me within a week good as new.

Not quite the same, but I sent back an elite controller and they were pretty snappy.

My Series S needed fixing when I started getting graphical corruption. They sent me a replacement console, but it was all done within a few days.

You can go to the retailer in the first instance. Amazon replaced my series X in full for stick drift.

It all seems pretty efficient online with MS. I suppose they had a lot of practice with the 360.

MS have officially ended support for the Xbox One. No more holding back first party games.

Anyone experience issues with Hades on Series X? It's crashing (or closing), a lot. I'm not sure if it's the game itself - I keep getting an error about a server issue that I can close but the game keeps quitting seemingly at random. Annoying

Annoying Seems to be an issue with the console being offline. Refunded

Ahh that’s dumb. Games should never run worse offline.

Must be something to do with the way it saves because as far as I know there's no online element
I was getting quite good at it as well. Amazing presentation

Anyone got any experience of getting a series X repaired under warranty? Outside warranty, yes and they did it for nothing. Turned around in about 8 days
