Also WOW Microsoft works fast.
Decided to request a refund for Elex. As I mentioned in the recently abandoned thread, I had a UI glitch where the game freezes whenever O try to equip a weapon past the initial rusty pipe.
sit on the idea for a few days. Put the ticket in today, a minute later the money's back in my account.
10/10 customer support

There are rumors floating around that MS is preparing a final (again) batch of backward compatible games, focused specifically on Activision stuff.
It sounds weird to me: the biggest Acti games of the 360 era, aside from COD which is already on the list, were the Guitar Hero series (and obviously that can't be made compatible), Tony Hawk (but I don't think they will bother with the remake out) and various licensed stuff such as Marvel and Disney (which could be problematic and not all that interesting anyway).
Assuming it's true, I wonder if it will include Quake 2.

Quake 4 (which included 2) was made by Raven, and that is an Activision studio. It's true the games have been re-released by Bethesda on Steam, but they probably need the original publisher's approval for this specific version.

I just want the X-Men Legends titles added to back compat.
They won't be.
But really, it's more Sega games I'd want added.

Just noticed as part of a gamepass notification for preloading that there is a Commandos 3 remaster. That will be a blast from the past!
And also that Hardspace Shipbreakers is coming!!!

Nice, I like the sound of Hardspace Shipbreakers from Vinny talking about it on Nextlander, didn’t realise it was coming to consoles

Be interesting to see how Hardspace Shipbreakers translates to a pad. Fancied it on PC but never got around to it. Looked like a mouse would be more intuitive.. Is mouse support universal (or even a thing yet) on Xbox?

Yeah mouse support is a thing, but it's generally a game by game deal as to whether it's supported or not.
There's even games that aren't officially supported, but mouse and keyboard works regardless, only you're stuck with the default PC bindings.

Pre orders are open. £115 for the controller, £55 for the rest of the stuff that comes with the standard version, so £170 all in vs £160 for the black.

Slightly more interesting is the news that the series 2 is coming to the design lab "this holiday season" to quote our murican overlords.

Does the RB button work on this revision?
Edit: Still I'm seriously tempted as my elite series 1 is a bit haggered and my series 2 RB button is banjaxed(warehouse stock which I got a warranty repair/replace on for which the RB button also stopped working). Even with the RB button issues the elite 2 feels so much nicer than the Elite which itself is a great controller.

Edited in my RB issues but seems to be extremely widespread.
I actually tried an at home repair on the first one I got but it did nothing.

If this were available, I'd have bought this version instead since I never use the paddles, although having the weird metallic disc as the only d-pad worries me a but. If it feels more in line with the Series X d-pad due to it being attached, that's fine, but the one that swaps out on the Series 2 controller (I hate MS' naming scheme) isn't good for actually in-game use. It just looks cool. I'd have rather kept the metal + d-pad over this one, if they're only including one.
Anyway. Should've announced a Series 3 instead.

If you already have a series controller it makes buying an extra one a lot more attractive.

WD40 will fix the rb issue, it's usually because dirt has got in the switch. I sorted mine out the other week with it and it's like new now.

Just looked it up and it's wd40 contact cleaner which thankfully I have. I hope you didn't use wdrp oil? Can't imagine that's good for it
