Another shocker. He's got the car but is not quite ready to be a world champion yet. It was odd, he seemed to just slowly understeer off into the gravel under very little pressure.

Norris's strategy makes no sense. He's already lost 10+ seconds. Will be a full stop soon.

Tyre offset might not be the best idea today considering he'll just attach to the back of a DRS train going nowhere.

I'm so surprised that Hamilton and Leclerc have more pace than Piastri in clear air. Different strategy perhaps?

Piastri falling back from Leclerc. He must have cooked his tyres those first two laps or they are putting everything into having a big advantage in the last stint.

Meanwhile Lando is gradually creeping up to the back of Max.

Meanwhile Lando is gradually creeping up to the back of Max. Then makes another mistake. Scrappy.

That tyre offset doesn't look like quite enough at present.
Top 7 all basically doing same laptimes.

Not sure about Hamilton reacting. His pace was still really good. Will be very vulnerable to late safety car now.

The shortened DRS has negated this race as shit as it sounds. People can't get 'where they should be' on track.
Norris has had a mare here. He'll probably end up past Verstappen after the next stops but he's not picking up enough points to put a big dent into that lead. Too many rash mistakes.

McLaren are going to give Piastri as big an offset as possible here, surely. As long as Hamilton and Leclerc aren't DRS'ing each other there may be half a sniff towards the end.

Norris may as well try an undercut.

Piastri explained it succinctly enough. Everyone is suffering behind other cars today.

FFS McLaren. What's the point in that.

Why pit Norris there? If Russell thinks he could get to the end, surely Lando could have on his much younger tyres.

McLaren’s strategy seems to be a collective head scratch once again.

Still, I'm glad the DRS isn't a freebie. There should be an advantage of track position because that's kind of the point.
Ugly stop from Piastri.

Depends how the mediums hold up really. Red Bull have been pretty average on tyres for a while now so he may get through easily enough later.

I think Lando will have to get fully passed under DRS or Max will be showing him the outside of the chicane.

Piastri the one to watch here.

Anyway, pleased for Oscar. Always nice to have a debut winner. Also Spa next and that's pretty much the only track I can recall him having a clear edge over Norris at. Excuse the backhanded compliment, but he might get back to back wins and not have to rely on orders. This prediction not looking too bad.

15 mins time and Piastri could have more GP wins than Norris…

Looks like Lewis has managed this as you'd expect. Still if George holds both up...

Looks like his tyres might have given up the ghost. Now interesting to see if Merc pull rank on Russell as the danger doesn't look to be there.
