Yep. He had a couple matches before he had a WWE trial

Considering he was a total rookie there he looks phenomenal

So Tony's announcement was basically AEW Total Diva's. Thought it might be Forbidden Door 2 or something.

Jeff Jarrett won a match. In 2023.
What the actual fuck.

Money in the Bank sold out in 1 minute. Over 30,000 seats. Dare say 90% of those went to scalpers

Yeah, no way can genuine customers buy anything that quickly (or at all) these days.
I wonder if they’ll go for a homer win or something like a regular title match for Drew

Maybe that's the perfect time to split the main belts and have Cody - Raw and Drew - Smackdown.

There’s a WWE match with AJ and Hurricane that was notable for AJ - the jobber, in this case - doing a shooting star press, and then taking an invertabreaker for the finish. It might even have been the last ever invertabreaker before it got banned.

Heat matches back then could be awesome. Think there was a Christopher Daniels v Taka Michinoku match that was fucking amazing too.

Reports that Omegas contract has been extended due to lost time when he was out injured. So if he is planning on going to WWE it could be end of the year/Rumble. Maybe that's the perfect time to split the main belts and have Cody - Raw and Drew - Smackdown. Drew been languishing around in proper mid tier feuds at since the last UK PPV. Possibly him vs Gunther vs Sheamus at WM

Drew could easily be elevated back to the main event. Look at how far apart some of Sheamus’s titles are and I still reckon you could push him again. There’ll always be room for big meaty men in the world wrestling federation.

As big as this Bloodline stuff has been it will probably be better for all once it's over and the main event picture is more open plus back to two champs.

I can't believe they are going with Lesnar vs Osmos at Mainia. Like, why? Is it just me or has Wyatt done barely anything since coming back? Feels like he's barely wrestled.

1 match on TV that 90% of the arena could barely see.
Thing with Brock is he only has to work with people he wants to. Guess is they want that WM spectacle of him giving him an F5.
They really should just get rid of the women's tag titles and have a mid card belt for each show.

That Lesnar match stinks of Vince “attraction” booking. Its probably the closest they can get to the traditional Undertaker vs big freak match we got a hundred variations of over the years

Omos does big numbers for the company. HHH also liked booking big men like this in NXT.

Right, questions:
1) Why did the referee setting fire to one of the wrestlers?
2) Don't these bingo halls / school gyms / empty office spaces get pissed with the state these shows leave the ceilings in?
3) Wouldn't it have made more sense to set fire to the table?
4) Why THE FUCK is the referee setting fire to one of the wrestlers?

Revolution this weekend, usually the few dynamites leading to a PPV would really grab my attention but I'm not feeling it this time round. The main event should be fantastic but everything else on the card has had a meh build.

Guess we can say the Reigns and Sami story is officially dead now. Shame they ended it on whimper because of the need to book Cody like Brock.

As said before the plan was always going to end with Sami and the Usos as that was where the main conflict came from.
Having him as champ would be nice for a bit but the fans would quickly tire of it and want him to drop it just like they do with just about everyone. But he isn't the right guy to end this title reign. After last night I'm not even sure they will have Cody do it at WM.

I am not sure it was always planned this way, It all feels fudged for a Cody a moment. I don't think fans would tire of Sami holding a title partly because it will feel earned.

The conflict between Sami and Jey was always the main focus until just before the Rumble. KO was the only one who had an issue with the whole group. Like it or not Cody vs Roman will be the much bigger draw.
I'm glad they didn't end the reign for a cheap pop in Canada. I'm also happy they seem to just be going back to Rumble winner gets the title match. Fed up of seeing matches made into a triple threat just because.
Confirmed so far, Cody vs Roman Rhea vs Flair Asuka vs Belair Brock vs Omos TBD vs Gunther
Then looking like,
Sami/Ko vs The Usos Lashley vs Wyatt Rollins vs Logan Something between Damage control and Becky/Lita and Trish. Or a tag match and Trish vs Bayley?
After the Rumble... please no live music performance.

I feel like when Cody rejoined they had a plan mapped out from debut to title win and they’ve not altered it to accommodate his injury so it feels a bit like he’s coming at Roman cold instead of having a year’s worth of momentum behind him

Yeah it was all made clear the Raw after Mania what the storyline goal was. The injury just made them have to miss some story beats.

Did wonder why it wasn't made a 6 pack match, sounds like Kofi injured himself when going out the ring..
Speaking of...
Brock beating him did absolutely nothing for anyone and was a dumb decision.
Anyone think Punk is coming back tonight? Seems odd AEW wrestlers are suddenly allowed to talk about the scrum. Also that reality show better not show the damn thing was all staged and just a way to get him off due to the injury(that things looking as fake as total divas).
I think tonight will also tell us what's happening with White. He either shows up tonight or its a Raw after WM job.
