Normally I don't mind Khan's giddy tweets but when Dynamite's in the doldrums he should really reign it back.

I’ve not been able to watch for a few weeks now, has AEW gone shite?

Just the last week or so; doesn't help that Punk, Bryan, Cole, MJF and Omega are all out injured but even allowing that it still feels a bit directionless (except Wardlow).
Match quality is still up there so can't complain too much - just missing a really good few angles/storylines at the minute.

Get the feeling Cole will look to go back to WWE with HHH back in a big role.
Or HHH is going to be trying to sign several ex guys in a year or two.

Personally, AEW Dynamite averages a solid 8/10 for me, but last few shows have been 5/10 territory. Opening and closing matches are bangers as usual but the middle is often forgettable, they've really not used the injury crisis to develop their other wrestlers or the women's division. They're trying squeeze every last drop out of this BCC v JAS feud when it should have ended with the cage match.
I'm not as excited about every show like I was last year when it felt more like a super indy variety show that didn't take itself super seriously.

Its a shame to hear they’re not using the opportunity to get more lesser known guys and girls on tv considering how deep the roster goes with Dark, Elevation and whatever is left of ROH. I guess they got hooked on the big money lure of proven WWE/NXT talent over all the indie stars they started out with.
WWE under HHH will start to look very appealing to all the talent he nurtured in NXT too.

I guess crowds chanting for Vince is a bit like how Chelsea fans chanted for Roman Abramovich earlier this year. It’s just blind loyalty.
And of course it’s the US and wrestling fans are hicks so they don’t care if he’s a rapist.

My guess is Kross will be back in WWE soon. Butch will go make to Pete Dunne and Max to LA Knight.

Danielson is back this Wednesday!
Starks v Danhausen hopefully sets up OC taking the FTW belt for the shenanigans that will ensue.
Thunder Rosa v Miyu Yamashita better be given time to shine

They’ve cheered for murderers, racists and wife-beaters for decades, why would they boo the man who brought the carnival to town? I say having watched WWF/E on and off for over 30 years

The focus on ex-WWE guys hasn't helped AEW ratings, except immediately after big debuts. Fyterfest is way down on last year'a Fyterfest and they've been trending down slightly this year, apart when Orange Cassidy came back from injury where there was a slight bump.

Nerds might be like Claudio getting his shot is awesome but after a decade of non-progress normal must look and think ‘Wow, Cesaro? What a small time show’
Only picking on him because he’s the latest but you get my point.
Unless the idea is to create a midtier promotion for the nerds in which case I guess crack on. The matches certainly deliver and when I’ve got time to keep up properly I’m always entertained, but its not a tactic that’ll wobble the Fed long term.
I think what I’m saying is put the Acclaimed on top and give them all the mic time they want

Her leaving with him would crush Tony's heart. Not that I think she would go simply cause she's got no chance of being above Becky, Flair, Belair and a few others. But I wouldn't be surprised now if NXT goes back to how HHH wanted it rather than being used as a full on developmental show.

I’m curious to see the direction WWE go in. I’m hoping we’ll see more peak NXT. Less goofy scripted crap, and more solid storylines, with a great hard hitting ppv match.

I know this is probably all those years of Vince conditioning me to think wrestlers should look like bodybuilders but can WWE’s new direction include dropping Walter off at the weights room? He looks so strange playing a monster while being the skinniest man on the roster

I wouldn't go getting excited about WWE yet - Bruce Pritchard is now head of creative, not HHH.
HHH is (only) talent relations.
Pritchard is a Vince guy, so I doubt it's going to change much. Still, I suppose we'll see what happens.

Looking forward to giving WWE a chance if HHH is running creative but I'm not holding my breath - the matches were fantastic during his tenure but the angles and storylines weren't that much better than RAW/Smackdown imo.

I see a lot of ex NXT going back if given the chance as they have nothing but love for HHH.

I see a lot of ex NXT going back if given the chance as they have nothing but love for HHH. Yeah I could see that happening, especially with the slim roster size WWE has at the moment. Win win for both - AEW need to cut some fat (once people return from injury) and WWE need a bit more on their bones.

You know what’s interesting.. 20 years ago Smackdown July 25th was the debut of Steph being GM. And there were loads of changes and debuts.
