I maintain you’re only classed as old if you sat through most of Bob Backland’s hundred year reign.

You guys remember the first match you ever watched?
Didn't know it at the time but I was very spoiled - HBK vs Undertaker at Badd Blood: In Your House with the debut of Kane. My uncle was absolutely fuming - he hated Michaels.
Thinking about it I probably saw matches before that (I was 10 at the time) but this is the first one I remember.

First PPV i remember was as an 8 year old watching 2001 Royal Rumble. I’m still convinced the ladder match between Y2J and Benoit was one of the best I’ve ever seen.

I don't think I got into wrestling until Uni. First thing I remember was some kind of arm wrestling championship but a bad guy ran in and 'broke' Hulks(?) arm.. but he competed anyway and nearly won!

I can't remember the first match I watched, but I do have memories of watching WCW Worldwide on ITV in a caravan. Think Lex Luger is the first wrestler I can visualise PWHOOOOORRRRRRR.
The first PPV must have been something in 1991/1992 as my dad used to borrow VHS from work. Wrestlemania/Survivor Series etc

I probably saw They Live before I saw any actual wrestling

No idea what my first match was. Probably some British wrestling. Went to 2 WWF shows including SS then at some point stopped watch.
The Raw the night after the 98 King of the Ring got me back into it after deciding to stay in that night(back when Raw didn't air in the UK till Friday) and Austin was cutting a promo on Kane demanding a rematch.

I remember picking up King of the Ring 98 from MVC without any prior knowledge to what happened. I'm pretty sure my mum said I could pick whatever, and that was the one. And what a pick!
I spent most of the middle to late 90s watching WCW on TNT, and the odd Livewire on Sky One, as my dad kept cancelling the sports.

I do remember. It was a random episode of Prime Time Wrestling back when it was on Eurosport, and it was Jimmy Snuka vs Haku. I can’t for the life of me remember what that result was, or even if there was one. Matches back then had a habit of running to time limit draws an awful lot.

Features Thunder Rosa v Miyu Yamashita in TJPW and PAC v Shota in Sheffield.
Rosa v Yamashita was fantastic, hopefully they give the rematch time on Dynamite, they're good enough to open the show but that's never going to happen lol. It's a joke that the AEW women have better matches outside AEW.
Edit: Actually thinking about it some more I may have over-sold the women's match. Still great but there were a few botches/sloppy spots, I think AEW has just conditioned me to overlook them.
There's only about 5? women on the AEW roster who don't botch on the regular, have good execution and can get the crowd going imo - Deeb, Statlander, Riho, Shida and Yuka Sakazaki. The Japanese trio will never get a storyline or more than two matches per year and Deeb and Statlander have to compete with Jade Cargill and Britt Baker squashes for what little time the women are afforded. I haven't seen enough of Athena to form an opinion and I like Thunder Rosa, Ruby Soho and Toni Storm but they're botchy and very much match their opponent's skill level rather than elevate them.
Anyway, PAC v Shota was fun.

So they crown new women's tag champs last week on NXT and last night they break them straight up with one turning heel...
They really are killing the women's tag division.

This whole time I've been thinking that Pac was X-Pac.
I don't follow AEW closely as you can tell.
I thought Thunder Rosa won the championship early in the year? Has she been on TV since?

Only watched half of Dynamite but it seems like a good episode so far!
Random question - What are people's thoughts on Orange Cassidy?
I'll be honest - I absolutely love the guy. I find him incredibly entertaining and he's one of the few wrestlers who makes me laugh out loud when he does his shtick. Usually has the best match of the night (or at least a great match) on whatever PPV he's on too. I don't give a shit that he makes it look fake; that genie was out of the bottle a long time ago (and by the time his matches are in the final stretch I'm back to suspending my disbelief anyway).
All the comments online about him exposing the business, being a joke character etc. are way off the mark for me. I don't think he'd work as a world champion but not everyone needs to be.
The fact that he winds up people like Cornette and the fools who take wrestling too seriously is just icing on the cake.
So yeah, love the guy and one of the most unique gimmicks in wrestling I've seen in the last twenty years. Perfect entrance music too.

I like OC but once you notice how he runs the ropes it can't be unseen. Basically uses the same technique as a really green female wrestler and doesn't look comfortable at all. Weird because he's been wrestling for ages. I've watched his match with Ospreay 3 times now, great clash of styles.

Can't say I've ever noticed to be honest - got a link? Doubt it'll ruin my enjoyment of him, seems a small detail in the grand scheme of things.
Edit: Just looked through a few videos on YT - is it because he puts an arm around the rope sometimes? Or when he's got his hands in his pockets he's doing something I'm missing? You've got me curious now!

You've got me curious now! It's weird, he puts his whole arm vertically down with his palm open facing into the crowd. It's after he's been Irish whipped rather than running of his own accord. I only clocked it during the Osprey match then couldn't unsee it and was annoyingly pre occupied with it for the remainder. It stuck in my craw as I remember seeing a really green womens match on NXT years back and the huge tell they were green as fuck was this awkward way they hit the ropes. Half thought it was due to their lack of height but OC isn't short. Going to check out his match from last night in a minute. FITE now have a built in app on my TV and it's actually really good.

Isn’t that the arm he injured? Could he be protecting himself?

I also love OC, top two favourite current wrestler along with Kris Statlander.
Which is why I hope AEW do mixed tag belts at some point after ROH gets separated off so there isn't a mess of belts. OC and Kris putting on fun matches every other week would be class.
